Teaching at Chon Chai for 2 years was a life-changing experience. Each of our students impacted us so deeply and taught us how to be the best versions of ourselves. We are so lucky to have watched over 400 students grow up into amazing young adults and words can’t describe how meaningful it was to visit again for graduation. Thank you for remembering us and keeping us in your hearts.

M3 - We taught you boys as M1 and we had a wild ride! Lots of ups and downs, but you boys were so fun every single day and made us better teachers and people. As you go your separate ways for M4, I want you to always remember our class and the lessons we learned together. Stay silly!!! And remember… the stars are always watching.

M6 - Being your advisor was one of the best parts of my Chon Chai experience. You all have grown up into such wonderful adults and we couldn’t be more proud of you. Always remember that you can accomplish anything that you set your mind to. 1 second of every day of this crazy year

2024 was the most emotional year of my life. I left my home in Thailand to return to the US indefinitely, backpacked through Southeast Asia, volunteered on a remote island, spent a lot of time 20 meters below sea level, had a LOT of good food, cried a ton, questioned my life choices, started a new job, and made a ton of memories with people i love. Today, I officially left Thailand and I am retiring Kru Muang 😭💜🫶

To all my wonderful students,
Thank you for changing my life. Being your teacher has been the greatest happiness I have ever experienced. We have gone through some crazy things together and sometimes you all made me want to scream (and sometimes I actually did) but you have made these past years unforgettable. I will never forget you all and I hope you always remember me! I will always be a quick message or call away if you need anything. I love you all so much!!

As my time as Teacher Violet starts to come to a close, I’ve begun my very difficult list of goodbyes.

One of the hardest goodbyes was leaving the tutoring center that I have spent the last 13 months with. It was wonderful to teach these cutie babies after working with my chon chai students! I will never forget these adorable little faces. by @teacher.violet
