To make at home or the classroom:

Start by rolling out a bigggg fresh batch of playdough on your table!🌊

Grab your Roll & Stamp Phonics Rollers and use all the color rollers to roll in the dough!

🪸Sprinkle in a few seashells and pieces of faux seaweed to make the phonics "seashore" feel like a little beach treasure hunt!! 🐚✨

The kids didn't realize how much they were practicing because they were having so much fun! 🤭

A lot of our learning happens around this table.

I love setting out what I like to call an "invitation" in the morning, or sometimes I’ll make one for after our rest time as a little reset for the afternoon.

I’ve found that having something waiting for them makes them want to come to the table on their own.

Teacher Tidbit 👩‍🏫
When you’re putting together a learning table, try including three simple elements.

A sensory invitation, something to create with (like playdough, clay, Beeswax mold), and a book that matches the theme.

Every single sensory filler jar feels like a tiny piece of cottagecore magic.

Beautiful textures, earthy colors, and the sweetest little details. They look like something you’d stumble upon in a woodland storybook.🌿

These are going to be such a big part of our homeschool this upcoming school year. The best part is how easy they are to mix and match for different holidays, seasons, and learning themes. One jar can be used in so many different ways.

Here’s what I used:

🐚 Seashells

🦀 Sea creature specimens

🌿 A floral garland from the craft store that looked just like seaweed. *I draped it along the top to give it that tide pool feel.

🔎 Tabletop magnifying glasses so little hands can slow down, observe, and take a closer look.

🌊@guidecraft_official Sensory Table because the bin is nice and deep.

Simple to put together, and full of little opportunities for exploring, observing, and discovering.

Every time I set up our space, I always start here.

The table.

After I place all of our resources on the table, I take time to look through everything before anything goes on the shelves. Seeing it all laid out helps me decide what we’ll use, how it all fits together, and where each activity will be the most inviting.

Then I slowly place everything on the shelves, making sure each activity has a spot where I know my kids will be excited to discover it.
