They’re asking teachers to do something impossible right now. We can teach our subject matter. We can create lessons. We can create some rules. But we can’t make the students care. And that’s been the toughest thing. One of the only hopes is to help them see their purpose in lieu of what society is offering them.

Although I’ve always known that there are certain aspects of life that call for us to make leaps and bounds, I’ve never been afraid of ‘tiptoe’ growth. Why? Because I will eventually see the momentum pick up. Then all of a sudden you see this explosive growth or you successfully cross the finish line. It may take a while, but you get there. That’s my approach in teaching.
Progression.
Blues and greens (passing scores increased) 🙂
Red (‘failing’ scores decreased) 🙂
Quarter 2 underway.
