In honor of it being Suicide Prevention Day, I thought I would share part of my testimony.

Growing up, this part of my testimony was something I wanted to keep hidden. It was something I was ashamed of. For years, I would leave it out of my story. But the Lord revealed to me that our stories are our living testimonies of how we have come to know Him. He showed that there is still PURPOSE in everything that we do and that happens. Our stories are neverending because God is still active in them. He is still very active in mine.

One thing that the Lord has taught me is that He can use our vulnerability in our brokeness to heal somebody else's brokeness, and in the process we can be healed too.

We may not fully understand why certain things happen but what I've learned is that He will provide in ways we can never imagine. God in His timing, took my walk of shame and turned it into a walk of life. He has brought me out of the darkness into the light. I have full faith He can do again for someone else.

~Hearts On Fire 2022~

★Hearts On Fire has been a conference I went to with my youth in middle and high school. It has been something I looked forward to every single November. Here, numerous memories that I will forever cherish were made. Here, miracles and healing have rained down on thousands of teenagers from all over the country. God has moved in so many ways over the course of the years.

Over and over again, God has wrecked and overwhelmed me in ways to grow my faith. In seasons of doubt, God has shown me time and time again that He is still faithful. In seasons of joy, God still showed me how faithful He has been. I prayed for God to refine me towards His will for me. God has given me a purpose for my life. Throughout the years, many have tried discouraging me from following God's plan for my life. But what I've learned is if I listen and follow God more then those around me, the enemy will try harder to stop God's will. Wherever the Lord leads me, He will provide comfort, peace, and joy that no one can take away.

Looking back at the last 5 years since I got my calling is overwhelming. At the moments of transition, I didn't understand what God wanted me to do, but I followed. Now standing here at 19-years-old, pursuing music ministry and worship leading, I can confidentally say that God has provided each step of the way according to His plan for my life.

God has a set plan for each and every one of us. Whether we know it or not, we all have a divine purpose that God has laid out. He will call us into areas that we've never stepped before, and sometimes alone. But God will provide each step of the way. Sometimes it may not be in the way we suspect it. But have faith in what He will do.

I'm thankful for the friendships and family God has blessed me with. And I am forever thankful for Scott Carter starting Hearts On Fire. Forever and always, thank you, God🤍

"They asked each other, "Were not our hearts burning within us while he talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?" (Luke 24:32)
