What an end to my junior years!

This sport has taught me so much, and I’m lucky to have found such a community within it. I genuinely am in disbelief that I made it to JFC this year and am excited to see where the next season takes me.
To any athlete going through a hard time be it injuries, mental health, or something else— know that great things take time and you can’t speedrun your journey (trust me I’ve tried).
Thank you to everyone who has been here supporting me over the years 🫶
To the coaches that have built me up and pushed me forward everytime
To my family for supporting me despite their better judgement (…mostly joking)
To the mountain for the opportunity it gives all of us, everyday
To @tahoefreeride for building such a lovely community
And to many, many others!

I am so stoked on second!!

This was the final run, which I ended up improvising a few sections of my line due to how fast this venue flew by me. Conditions today were much slicker than Friday and the competition got cut short for U15 athletes as well as (I believe) snowboarders due to lightning.
We’re so lucky to have @tahoefreeride running this event alongside @kirkwoodmtn and their ski patrol team. I don’t think many other mountains would’ve pushed so hard to make 3 competitions happen in one week with poor coverage, and a brutal freeze/melt cycle, on top of a few of the competition days consisting of minimal visibility as well as potential for lighting and high winds. So ofc a huge thank you to all the volunteers, workers, and teams that coordinated to make all of these events in the last week transpire.

I am definitely beginning to feel my passion and love for skiing return and am so so excited for the seasons to come. This sport has grown tremendously in the 5 years that I’ve participated and I feel lucky that I got to compete at my last #tjfs competition on my home mountain. It’s been a rocky road with many setbacks but I’m glad I never gave up up on my love for skiing, even when I questioned if it was still there (spoiler alert: it was just hiding behind fear).

Kirkwood 3* Qualifier
—> I said It was just a minute 30 seconds of my life and did it in a minute 28 seconds. Stoked to have laid down a line I’m proud of.
We’re waiting to hear if Sunday finals is a go, if so I’m sure it’ll be a blast :)
Enjoy this for now!

Official comp post! (choppy speed up mb)
I’m so lucky to have been able to enjoy the Telluride 3* and although I may not have placed where I wanted, I did lay down the first line I’ve been proud of (in a comp) all year :)
It’s taken time but I’m definitely starting to get my groove back!
I couldn’t have done this without the time and energy that my team, family, and coaches have given me. Huge thanks to everyone involved in this, particularly @tellurideski @skibnj_monaay @kirkwood_freeride_team and @ifsafreeriders (and my family ofc >shoutout to my grandparents for doing much of the behind the scenes work<)

I will forever be a proud @tahoefreeride athlete

(p.s. sorry for the shaky camera, my mom thinks I’m going to die on every run I do, love you mom @when_i_get_that_pony_rode )

I had an absolute blast at Palisades but sadly crashed in qualifiers due to a binding malfunction. I ended up getting my dins checked and although they were set at 7.5 they were reacting like a 6, so I’m happy to say I got that figured out and fixed. Nonetheless each fall is just as good of a lesson as each stomp.

Although, this run did not go how I had planned; between an improvised top line and an ejection at the bottom, I find falling (w/out injury) to be quite the confidence booster. It’s important for me to relearn that a fall does not mean certain injury, more often than not a fall is just a lesson to teach you how to get back up and try again.

As always a big big thanks to @tahoefreeride @palisadestahoe and all the behind the scenes people that make this sport (& these events) run smoothly.

@skiforscotty

And ofc thank you to @bettysballstapas for always having my back! (Go check out there food— it’s incredible)

It’s been a minute, but I’m Stoked to get my feet back into the boots and shred some turns!

Between mental blocks, firm snow, and low light conditions I didn’t throw down my line exactly how I would’ve liked, but I’m thankful to have committed to this particular air (which I chickened out on the week before). Nonetheless, It’s really a blessing to be back competing and I’m glad I got the chance to play around at the Kirkwood 2*

I want to give my thanks to all who’ve helped me as none of this could’ve been possible without all the support from coaches, family, peers, and doctors
And of course another huge thanks to @kirkwoodmtn @tahoefreeride and all the intermediaries for hosting this event.

Check out @bettysballstapas for a fresh post-ski meal!

❤️

Another late post but here we go:
I feel truly blessed to have such opportunities for travel, growth, and passion and found the Whistler Jr. 3* to be a lovely experience. The villages were cute and the mountain was massive; I could spend a year skiing there and still discover new gems! I also got to meet up with some old friends, which was fantastic. Furthermore, the company was impeccable and I’m glad so many from Kirkwood’s team made it out to Canada.
I found the competition to be tough, as all of the competitors had an exceptional display of strength and skill on course. However, they were also very sociable and supportive throughout the event which certainly kept the vibes high!
For my final event of the year, I laid down two solid, but rather conservative lines. I may not have competed with my typical flare in this past season, but overall I do not regret it. I think it has proven to be a wonderful learning experience that has helped me get out of my head and connect with more of my lifelong competitors, as well as coaches and volunteers.
A huge thanks to @whistlerblackcomb for hosting this freeride event and all the additional people it took to get it rolling. As well as a quick mention to @momentskis and @peakperformance @peakperformancewhistler for reliable and artistic alpine gear. Anddd my sponsor @bettysballstapas

I’ve been slow to post for the Mt. Rose 2*, but here’s the wrap:
After rushing back to CA from Vermont we got to Mt. Rose and it was made very clear to me that I was not allowed to fall. After my dislocation just a few days prior I knew if I wanted to go to Whistler as well, falling would not be an option, per my mom’s rules. So I played a very conservative line, which led to this being a huge mental challenge.
I fought myself throughout my run to not take any risks or have any flashy airs, and I’m glad I stuck through with my plan. Without the help and reassurance of my coaches I don’t think I would’ve been able to follow those rules, and who knows if I would’ve stayed up.
I feel extremely lucky to have the support system I do and am stoked to brought home third! A specific thank you to @mtroseskitahoe and @tahoefreeride for getting this incredible competition underway! And another secret thank you to the universe for allowing this hectic schedule to align.

These past few weeks have been hectic to say the least…I bounced from States for alpine to the Mad River Glen 3* and then back for the Mount Rose 2*. I am beyond lucky and grateful for all the people who made this work and the time/effort that had been poured into the competitions and travel surrounding such events.
I had a wonderful time visiting Vermont for the first time and my run was great until about 20-30 feet from the corral when I slipped up hitting a mogul air. When I fell, I dislocated my shoulder; luckily, it popped back in on its own and seems to be healing well. Besides that fall, the skiing was incredible, lots of variable snow and some playful features scattered all across, not only the venue, but the mountain too.
The people at Mount River Glen were incredibly supportive and the vibes were on top. I also really appreciated the coaches out there, who invited us onto their team as honorary members. Congrats to all of my competitors and a final mention of my gratitude for the opportunity as well as the support!
