Romeo and Zooliet! 🐢☀️🦉🌷

I’ve spent the past few months being a production assistant for the new play Romeo and Zooliet with @stlshakesfest. This show is an adaptation of Romeo and Juliet made for kids told with puppets in the St. Louis Zoo. However, these puppets are not normal puppets. They were made and designed by the legendary Michael Curry Design who also made puppets for The Lion King and Frozen on Broadway. It’s been an amazing opportunity to be able to help repair, maintain, and even paint these puppets. My brain has definitely been stretched this summer.

After 32 shows this production comes to an end tonight. This show definitely takes the cake for being the longest and most challenging production I’ve been on. There were a lot of new things for me during this show. This is the first time I’ve had to wear a costume and the first time I’ve gotten the opportunity to help with social media/ puppet appearances for the company. Thank you to everyone on the cast and crew for supporting me and always being surprised when I say I’m only 19.
