Throwback to when I went to Devarana Spa by @Dusit Thani Hotel Cairo for some much needed massages. Got gifted 🥰 vouchers for a 90 minute Thai Massage and a 60 minute Reflexology for my birthday by my gorgeous girlfriends in Cairo and what a treat! Great service from the entire Spa team. They give you access to lockers for valuables and then more lockers in the back where you change. The facilities are top notch with a sauna, jacuzzi and a massive heated pool (didn’t manage to take a pic of that). The massages themselves were life changing, probably the best Thai Massage I’ve had, *EVER*.

Afterwards, I had some delicious ginger tea with snacks and left for home feeling very refreshed. Worth every buck, a definite item to put on your “things to do in Cairo” list 🤞🏾

The pain I felt when this handful of blueberries arrived last night 😮‍💨😩. Groceries in Egypt are actually more affordable for us compared to what we pay in South Africa and Zimbabwe (half the price of a shopping basket in South Africa), but these blueberries 🥲… All in the name of school lunchboxes.

4.5 didn’t even eat them, said they were sour 😭🫠

Tenaya Riverside Dining is an absolutely ✨stunning✨ restaurant right by the Nile River, next to the Maadi Yacht Club. The views, decor, coffee, drinks, food and service did not disappoint! Absolutely unforgettable 🥹. It’s definitely a top 10 breakfast spot in Cairo for me 🙌🏾! I’ll be back for lunch and dinner 😋. Make your reservation on their website.

Went to the quaint and serene Aroka Healing Centre (@arokahealing) in Maadi for a spa date to celebrate my hubs’ birthday in May 💆🏽‍♂️💆🏾‍♀️.

We had 60 mins of the Traditional Thai Massage + 60 mins of the Foot Reflexology (in separate rooms) for just EGP3000 each and it was worth every cent — affordable enough to go often! They have highly skilled masseuses, the place is peaceful, that ginger tea had quite the kick, all the makings of a perfect date! It’s no mistake that their reviews are glowing.

If you are looking for a professional unassuming spa, Aroka Healing Centre has branches in Maadi, Zamalek, Sheikh Zayed & New Cairo.
