Cosplay made by me, mostly with second hand clothes and fabrics. Armsocks are from @welovecolors . Hammer stl by @kohalucosplay printed and painted by me. Makeup is @mehronmakeup paradise AQ paint. Wig is a worbla base molded to my head with resin cast crystals glued on. I have a highlight on my page with the making of this costume and I’m always happy to answer questions!

Ya’ll know I love to sing the praises of @aleksvuphotography , and this shoot is no different. I really wanted a picture of me raging with red smoke in the back. Ruidus vibes. As he is magically able to do, he managed to get exactly the photo I was imaging. And somehow make it even cooler. I love this photo. This is gonna be one of the photos I keep on hand to show people when they ask to see what I cosplay. The rage face (which I am always hesitant to do for fear of cracking my paint) is PERFECT. The smoke behind and around me, PERFECT. The way the lights in my wig actually show up for once, PERFECT. I just love this.

This weeks Foamory Spotlight goes to @tealeaf.cosplay :D Along with the spotlight we want to get to know you, the cosplayer!

1) What you built and where it’s from?
The character featured is Verin Thelyss, from Critical Role.
2) What products did you use?
For this cosplay, I used 4mm high density EVA foam from The Foamory to construct a breastplate and greaves. The breastplate was fully self-patterned using duct tape and saran wrap, and the greaves were made based on a pattern from Kamui Cosplay. Some other materials I used for the armor include weldwood contact cement, Cosflex flexible primer from Coscom Cosplay Supplies, and a Bevall from Rocket Props was used to cut all my foam.

3) What did you like best about the products you used?
While using the 4mm high density foam from the foamory, I was struck by how smoothly and cleanly it cuts and sands. In some places, I used a dremel to sand the foam, and it worked beautifully. One of my biggest goals for this armor was to make it durable, and I found that the foamory’s high density foam was more resistant to creasing and cracking than other foam brands I have used in the past, especially with the use of flexible paints.
I am a novice armor builder, and I found that using foam from The Foamory made the challenging experience much more doable due to the excellent quality of the foam.

4)What is your next build and is there any new technique you plan to use?
One future project that I have in mind is adding more armor to this cosplay, including pauldrons and gauntlets. I plan to use the same 4mm high density foam from the Foamory for this, as I had such a pleasant experience with the product!
