Spreading the joy of the little crawler

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

One look underneath the SCX30 and somehow the upgrade list gets a little longer.
FEDCO steel front and rear driveshafts swap in for the stock plastic pair, with 33mm and 42mm shafts for the SCX30.
How far down the all-metal drivetrain rabbit hole are you? 👀

G6 with wz1 chassis
My version of the @team.fedco 6x6 kit! 🔥
Yeah, I know it’s meant to run on the stock chassis, but who says I couldn’t throw it on a more capable one? 😏
And yes, it’s running the SCX30 motor, and this thing pulls like a beast with zero issues! 🙌🤣
Big thanks to @team.fedco for giving me the opportunity to try out this kit! More clips coming soon of this rig crawling over some rocks! 🪨💪 by @team.fedco

Not your average 6x6 build🦾

@team.fedco 6x6 kit makes it easy for any idea to come to life. I’ve always wanted a long flatbed build and thought this was the perfect opportunity, also fits a scx30 very well🤘🏼

Apparently “build a 6x6” was not specific enough.
Same FEDCO 6x6 base, then everyone took it somewhere else: expedition truck, overland rig, red-rock crawler, creek runner, mini monster.
Which one are you stealing ideas from?

It’s usually that one edge under the axle that ruins a perfectly good line.
FEDCO metal axles for SCX30 add a higher-clearance housing, while keeping the steering setup familiar.

Tiny truck. Maybe a little too tiny on the scale.
FEDCO brass wheels add weight down low on the SCX30, right where the climb can use it.
Turns out the hill noticed.

All four add the same brass weight down low, so the real decision is which one actually looks right on your SCX30.
Which one would you run?

Taking the body off shouldn’t turn into a wiring job.
The magnetic body mounts do double duty, holding the shell and powering the integrated lights.

Steel front and rear driveshafts for the SCX30.
33mm and 42mm replacements for the stock plastic shafts.
Are you upgrading the drivetrain early, or waiting until something gives?
