🦃🏅 OUR 2026 THANKSGIVING DAY MEDAL REVEAL! How cool is this year’s medal?! Last year, our turkey slid side to side in front of the historic Boulder County Courthouse. The kids loved it, and to our surprise, the adults had just as much fun! 😂 So, we’re bringing our moving turkey back for 2026 with a new twist! This year’s medal celebrates the iconic Boulder Theater, and our turkey will now slide UP AND DOWN! 🦃⬆️⬇️ We love celebrating Boulder’s history through our medals while creating something fun and memorable for runners of all ages. Whether you’re running the 5K or joining the Kids 800m, this is one medal you’ll want to take home! Who’s excited to get their hands on one? 🙋‍♂️ 📅 Thanksgiving Day - November 26, 2026 ❤️ Proudly supporting Harvest of Hope Pantry Sign up today! www.teamboco.com #BoulderThanksgivingDay5K #TurkeyTrot #BoulderColorado #ThanksgivingDay #AlpineBank by @teamboulderrunning
WHERE IT ALL BEGAN — NOVEMBER 3, 2018 ❤️ On Saturday, November 3, 2018, we held our very first Colleen De Reuck Cross Country Classic at Nevin Platt Middle School. Our inaugural champions: 🏆 Men’s 6K * Open: Sam Parsons — 18:15 * Masters: Jeremy Parks — 20:01 🏆 Women’s 4K * Open: Janelle Lincks — 13:57 * Masters: Shannon Teslow — 16:59 But perhaps the most special part of that first event was seeing 220 kids take to the course across our 1K, 2K and 3K races. What started as a small community cross country meet in 2018 grew into something far bigger than we ever imagined. Aa we prepare to host our final Colleen De Reuck XC Classic, it’s wonderful to look back and remember the athletes, families and young runners who helped start it all. Every great event has a beginning. This was ours. ❤️ Join us this Saturday, October 31 for our final Colleen De Reuck XC Classic at Harlow Platts Community Park. Every week, they provide free supplemental food to approximately 750 shoppers, distributing an average of 3,500 pounds of food every day. Through food drives, local farm donations, retail food recovery, and community support, they provide hope to individuals and families facing food insecurity. Because of their strategic partnerships and buying power, every dollar donated provides one nutritious meal for someone in need. To help make an even greater impact, 10% of every race registration will be donated directly to Harvest of Hope Pantry. This Thanksgiving, let’s come together to celebrate our community and help Harvest of Hope continue providing nutritious food to everyone who walks through their doors.
