Birds Eye view of this pre cold front shoot. This was the first morning of the only good cold snap we got last year. It doesn’t look like it in this picture, but everything was frozen at first light. The Mallards came back full of corn and we made em pay! The depression is creeping in on us.

We’re already trucking through June, setting our sights on colder(hopefully much colder than what we’ve been getting) temps , green headed ducks and the occasional Justin freak out screaming “CAN!” 🤣

We often forget some of these, or the newer guys just haven’t been taught. In the hunting community we are only as strong as the community itself. Hold others accountable. Teach others the basics, especially when it comes to etiquette… many haven’t been taught. There are many more we can add to this! by @teamdeadfowl

HUDSON YOU DID IT BUDDY! The moment I laid my eyes on this sweet little boy my heart melted with joy. Anyone who has children knows exactly what I’m saying. My imagination raced thinking of the hunts we would get to experience and all of the adventures we would have. Fast forward 5 years to the sound of a plane taking off and Hudson and I were on our 1900 mile adventure for his FIRST ever hunt. This was the day I have been dreaming of for 5 years. The goal was pretty simple, have as much fun as we could and open the world of hunting to Hudson. He was such a trooper, early flight, long travel day backed up with an extremely early morning. The questions started to flow and Hudson’s eyes were filled with excitement as this whole new world opened up to him. First light was exciting, we had an Owl walk right in front of us. I have never had that happen. To be honest I thought it was a chicken haha. Then it flew off and Hudson was convinced it was a turkey 😂. As the morning went on, a good nap was in order for little man. As he laid his head down on my shoulder I couldn’t help but smile and tear up a bit. My time had finally come, I get to hunt with my son and show him my passion. Gobbles broke the morning silence, we didn’t know it at the time but we were in for one heck of a show. First is started with a lone long beard all the way across the field, shortly after that a bearded hen made her presence known. THE REST IS IN THE COMMENTS.

Chayse got out and filled his second tag on an awesome hunt. Got in early, listened to multiple birds wake up gobbling at every different noise they heard. (one of our favorite parts of Turkey hunting) Once they pitched down the pecking order started. 45 minutes of back and forth with the flock. We soft called and would get an occasional reply. Then this bird cut us off mid calling, so we ran with it. We put more excitement in our calling with some cutting and quicker tempo yelping. That’s all it took to fire him up. He broke off the morning flock and came over to check us out. Chayse laid the hammer down on him! This was Chayse’s first year filling both tags and we couldn’t be more proud of him. He’s deadly!
