Lucy is definitely getting the VIP treatment at school riding her bike throughout the high school hallways. 😉
She’s been busy at school with the district wide pep rally, in the homecoming parade with her classmates and a field trip to the pumpkin patch with a hayride. 🎃
We are blessed she is surrounded by such a great staff!! 💜

We have been busy, so I will post more pictures later of #TeamEmrick. For now I will post pictures of our doods finding some sticks to chew. 😉
Bear unfortunately had to have his eye removed from glaucoma last week. We tried to save it with multiple eye drops. He is doing so much better now.

This household is slowly becoming the Island of Misfit Toys from Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. But it is being different is not a flaw, and everyone deserves love, acceptance, and a place to belong even if they do not fit “traditional” standards. ✌🏼

📺 I’m not sure which is more annoying…. The Political 🇺🇸 Commercials or The Big 💊 Pharma Commercials. 💸
And I think it’s cool seeing the @nfl players wear the Guardian Cap, but all I can think of is the movie @officialspaceballs.

Ask anyone around my age where they were on September 11, 2001, they will tell you the room. Ask someone what they ate that morning, they cannot. Ask them what they felt in their chest, they can.

Today is one of those days that reminds us how quickly an ordinary morning can become anything but ordinary.
Love your people.
Say the thing.
Give the hug.
We remember.
We Pray.
It’s all that matters in the end.

Love everyone like September 12, 2001.

*I will always remember what I was doing that day. I was asleep when it first happened and was due to work at 2pm. Both Mike Taggart & Heather Taggart Robinson woke me up by calling to make sure I was ok to work. I was confused because I hadn’t turned on the tv. Then I turned on the news and realized why they were asking me.

I remember trying to get a hold of my dad because he was traveling back from Pennsylvania from a work trip, he was on a bus in route back to Ohio. This was before social media and Life360. Bartending was really rough that day, but I knew I wanted to be surrounded by the pub regulars and my Taggarts family instead of sitting home alone all day. I was 25, I can’t recall much of last week, but I’ll always remember that day.
Love everyone like 9/12/01.

We officially have 2 SOPHOMORES!!
💜💛 (@vandaliabutler) + ♥️🤍 (@miamiuniversity)
Lucy wasn’t much for smiling so early in the morning but she did run into the school excited to see her peers and teachers.
It seems like she was just attending preschool, here she is already 16 and a sophomore.
I made the annual All About Lucy flyer that I update every year.

Soaked up some summer before school starts this week. Discovered yellow watermelon is my new favorite over red!! 💛 Thanks to @patchworkgardensdyt. We also made a clean 7 ingredient potato salad and a fresh salsa without the fillers from their fresh produce. 🥔🧅🍅#countchemicalsnotcalories #seededproduceoverseedless #Chemicalfreeproduce
