TEAM Geelong Running, in partnership with Blackman’s Brewery, is excited to return for our second year of FREE weekly 5km social runs and walks, kicking off in November 2026 across all three Blackman’s Brewery locations! At Blackman’s Brewery, their philosophy is simple: They love good beer! And we believe there’s nothing better than bringing people together through running, walking and a great sense of community. Whether you’re catching up with family, friends or work colleagues, new to Geelong, visiting the region, or simply looking to meet new people, everyone is welcome! No pressure. No expectations. No need to be a fast runner. Just come along, enjoy a relaxed 5km run or walk at your own pace, and stick around afterwards for a cold beer, good conversation and some great company. 🏃‍♂️ Geelong, it’s time! 🏃‍♀️ This weekend, our city makes history with the inaugural @geelongrunningfestival and Geelong Marathon. Last night, alongside Cr @crmelissacadwell Melissa, it was an honour to help launch the festival and celebrate the vision, collaboration and also the people who have made it possible. It was also a thrill to rub shoulders with running royalty, Olympians Steve Moneghetti, Nathan Deakes, and particularly @leetroop73, whose passion, persistence and drive brought this exciting event to life. From the Kids Run and all-abilities events to the Community 6.5km, Half Marathon and Marathon, there is something for everyone. If you’re not running, come out onto the streets, front yards and fan zones and cheer on the participants. Let’s show visitors from near and far what makes the @cityofgreatergeelong such a great sporting city and wonderful place and destination to visit. Enjoy the journey, soak up the atmosphere, and be part of Geelong history🏅 #GeelongRunningFestival #GeelongMarathon #Geelong #belongingeelong #blackmansbrewery by @teamgeelongrunning

Today marks 3 weeks to go for the @geelongrunningfestival and despite the stress over the last few months, it’s still been an incredibly exciting time! A huge thank you to our sponsors, partners, participants and volunteers who have already committed to this journey. We couldn’t do it without you. We’re closing in on 5,000 participants and have already raised $105,000 for charity, which we’re incredibly proud of. There’s still a LOT to do over the next three weeks, but the finish line is getting closer and we’re ready to make history and bring the Geelong Running Festival to life. 💙🩵🤍 #GeelongRunningFestival #BelongInGeelong #3WeeksToGo #GRF2026 by @teamgeelongrunning
