I’ve been incredibly fortunate in my life to walk beside and behind giants—to be mentored, challenged, encouraged, and shaped by men I respect and look up to.

Today, one of those giants is gone.

What a privilege it was to know him.
What an even greater privilege to have learned from him so many things often at just the perfect time.

We stand taller because giants once walked beside us and encouraged us to become more like them.

Sometimes our own unfortunate events can leave us frustrated or angry, then you realise in the resolution you have been the blessing to someone else, you wouldn’t have met had the whole sequence not happened.

Regardless of what’s happening good or bad take time to shine the light on others, it may be the only bright spot in their day! 🔦🔦🔦

32 years ago tonight I closed the Op Meeting in my green genera collection suit 😝 and headed to Burger King to hang with my drag racing friends. Little did I know Tracy G was gonna bring me your picture and set us up to meet at Maria R doorstep in Brockton later that night. That moment everything changed in my life. Some 11,688 days of Good times, hard times, big wins and losses and detours later I’m so grateful still you chose to get in the car! To the next 32 Years babe!

Happy Belated Mother’s Day post to @tovkate - We had an awesome busy full day yesterday together with our whole extended family, but it was also a very difficult day with losing my Mum last month and I cant thank you enough for always being by my side, ready to catch me, hold me up, support me, or fight back to back against the world with me. Whether we are sobbing, celebrating, winning or learning, I couldn’t have asked for a better mother to our children or a better wife for me - it’s easy to focus on the prayer that didn’t get answered and miss the BIGGEST prayer answered of all! Getting to be with you! Thank you God for Kate DeFeo and our amazing family. With a full heart overflowing with gratitude - I love you Kate. Carol DeFeo, my beloved mother passed away yesterday morning peacefully surrounded by love and triumph having fought the good fight and winning the ultimate prize of freedom. She went to be with the Lord and to heal in heaven, as her illness had gone too far and simply was too much to come back from after exhausting EVERY possibility.. An unstoppable force she lived everyday the ideal that there was always a way to get it done. She broke stereotypes trampled boundaries and simply would not listen when told it could not be done. She was a daughter, a nurse, a mother, a business woman, a Nana and most of all a child of God. She followed her faith and was simply impossible to bridle. She taught us that you simply MUST persist even if misunderstood, and that your dreams matter and all should be counted. We miss you terribly already and know we will meet again.

We would like to recognize and thank ALL the staff at the ICU BMC Brighton especially ❤️Natalie ❤️Jamie
❤️Brittany ❤️Josh R. ❤️Kerryn ❤️Kristen ❤️Linda &
