Game on Cancer is FINISHED for another year! These last 2 months have been humbling, encouraging and tiring. Fundraising for 2 months straight is a lot of work, but we wouldn’t miss it for the world. In Team Starkk’s second year of fundraising, our total for this years campaign was 💥🤯$59,344.55🤯💥

WHAT?! You mean to tell me we raised $15,773.21 just 12 months ago? And over the last two months, we’ve raised close to $60k?!? This still doesn’t feel real.

Last Thursday, we opened the doors of a WEHI lab to two very special guests: @teamstarkk_ and @lunacardsau.

For years now, Team Starkk’s community has rallied behind Cure Cancer through Game On Cancer®, turning their streams into real funding for emerging researchers, raising over $120,000 along the way. This time, alongside the team from Luna Cards, they got to see exactly where that support goes.

Dr Sarah Diepstraten, a Cure Cancer grant recipient and Senior Research Officer at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research (WEHI), walked the group through her lab and her research into aggressive blood cancers, including how a faulty gene called p53 can switch off a cancer cell’s natural ability to self-destruct, and how her work is chasing a second way to reach that switch.

It’s a fitting place for that conversation. @wehi_research is also where, decades ago, researchers discovered the protein behind venetoclax, a blood cancer treatment now used around the world. Sarah’s work continues in that same tradition: backing a bold, unproven question early, long before anyone can promise where it will lead.

Thank you to Dr Sarah Diepstraten and the team at WEHI for opening your lab to us. And thank you to Team Starkk and Luna Cards, who have raised over $120,000 for Cure Cancer, for taking the time to see, firsthand, where it goes.

🤯$50,000 RAISED 2 YEARS IN A ROW🤯

This is beyond anything we dreamed for Superhero Streamers 2026 and we couldn’t be more grateful 🫶

At the conclusion of the campaign, Team Starkk has raised a total of $51,962 for Game on Cancer’s Superhero Streamers. All funds go towards life changing cancer research so from the bottom of our hearts- Thankyou 🫶💗

The Luna Cards x Team Starkk event over the weekend was a ⭐️ HUGE SUCCESS! ⭐️ With Luna Cards generating $10,243 for @gameon_cancer across their Whatnot streams and the collaboration event with us on Saturday!!

🌙 These events would not be possible without the incredible generosity from @lunacardsau 💗
We have been lucky enough to work alongside them for 2 years now to raise money for life changing cancer research. The team behind Luna cards are an absolute power house and we are so grateful for how generous they are- not only with their business, but with their time. A huge thankyou to @lunacardsau for working with us to create two banger events, two years in a row- as well as donating tonnes of product for us to giveaway 💗
