On the occasion of International Plastic Bag Free Day, our team proudly participated in the plastic awareness programme organized by the Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board (TNPCB) at Koyambedu Market
Through our traditional Oyil, Karagam, and Parai performances, we shared the message of reducing plastic use and protecting our environment. We were honoured to perform in the presence of the Hon'ble Minister for Environment and Climate Change, Dr. V. K. Rajeev

🌿 World Mental Health Day at Guindy National Park 🌿

Team Unity teamed up with MSCAS College's Department of Psychology to mark World Mental Health Day in the heart of Guindy National Park.

We performed Oyilattam, Karagattam, Marakkal Attam and Parai, and closed with a street play on mental well-being. 🥁💃
Art heals. Community heals. Talking about it heals too. 💚

Thank you to everyone who joined us and listened.

💚 World Mental Health Week A delayed post, but a timeless memory

🌍 World Mental Health Day – 10.10.2026

As part of the World Mental Health Week 2026 celebrations, the Department of Psychology, Mohamed Sathak College of Arts and Science, organised a mental health awareness programme at Guindy National Park to spread awareness about the importance of mental health among the community, with the support of Team Unity Band.

🎭 Through an impactful street play, meaningful mime performances, and energetic performances by Team Unity Band, we conveyed the importance of mental well-being and encouraged everyone to prioritise their mental health.

🎯 Fun-filled games brought smiles and excitement to the community, especially among the children, who participated enthusiastically and enjoyed every activity. The active participation and positive response from the public made the programme lively, engaging, and memorable.

💚 This initiative reminded us that mental health awareness can reach every corner of society through creativity, teamwork, and community participation.

✨ From powerful performances to joyful games, every moment carried one important message: Mental health matters to everyone!

🌱 Together, let’s break the stigma, spread awareness, and build a mentally healthier community.
