FROM RUNNING FOR KENYA TO FIGHTING FOR HER LIFE.

Meet Beatrice Murugi, a former Kenyan athlete who competed in the 10KM and 21KM races.

On 28th December 2020, Beatrice’s life changed when she developed a serious stomach challenge that has followed her for the last six years.

For years, she has endured the pain while struggling to raise her 10-year-old child. Imagine being a mother in constant pain, yet still having to wake up every morning wondering how you will feed and care for your child.

The woman who once had the strength to run kilometres representing Kenya now struggles just to survive.

But we could no longer watch her suffer.

We have rescued Beatrice and taken her to Kerugoya Level 5 Hospital, where she is currently receiving medical attention. Doctors have suggested that she needs an operation, making this an urgent medical situation.

Behind this illness is a mother.
Behind her pain is a 10-year-old child who still needs her.
And behind this story is a former athlete who once made Kenya proud.

Beatrice needs us now.

We are appealing for support towards her surgery, her child’s school fees, food and basic needs as she fights to regain her health.

Ken Isaiah Moseti.
Former Kenya 7s, Kenya Simbas & KCB Rugby Star.
The nation once cheered for him. Today, he needs the nation to stand with him.

Ken Moseti made his Shujaa (Kenya 7s) debut at the 2011 Dubai Sevens before representing the Kenya Simbas in 2014. During his seven-year career with KCB Rugby Club, he helped the team win three consecutive Kenya Cup titles. He was a respected player, a leader, a coach, and a man with a promising future.

Then life changed.

The applause faded. The stadiums disappeared. The dreams he had worked so hard to build slowly slipped away.

For the last five years, Ken has lived on the streets of Nairobi sleeping in the cold, battling hunger, and struggling to survive. The same man who once proudly wore Kenya’s jersey was forced to beg for his next meal.

Behind every person living on the street is a story. Some stories begin with poor choices. Others begin with heartbreak, loss, or circumstances no one sees. Ken’s story is a reminder that even those who once stood at the top can find themselves at the very bottom.

But this is not where his story ends.

Today, Ken has been rescued and admitted to rehabilitation. For the first time in years, he has a safe place to sleep, people who believe in him, and a chance to rebuild his life.

Now, he needs all of us.

“Sometimes a child doesn’t run away from home because he hates home… he runs because home stopped feeling safe.”

Meet Glen Washington, a young boy from Shamakhokho Village, Vihiga County, who found himself living on the streets of Nairobi after running away from home because of problems with his stepmother.

The streets became his shelter.
The pavement became his bed.
And survival became his everyday life.

But now Glen has been rescued.

Yet there is another battle we must fight.

Glen is not ready to go straight back to school. The years on the streets have left wounds that cannot be healed by simply giving him a uniform and putting him in a classroom.

He needs rehabilitation, counselling, love and time to heal before he can begin his education again.

“A child on the street is not a lost child. Sometimes, he is simply a child waiting for someone to believe in him again.”

We don’t want Glen’s rescue to end at the moment we take him off the streets.

We want to walk with him all the way from the streets, through rehabilitation, back to school and eventually back to a hopeful future.

“Sometimes, the greatest gift you can give a hurting family is not money it is the feeling that someone still sees them.”

Today in Tanzania, over 100 street families were not just fed they were heard, embraced, and reminded that they matter.

Behind every face on the street is a story.
A mother carrying pain she never talks about.
A family wondering where the next meal will come from.
A woman trying to survive, provide, and still hold on to hope.

For a few hours today, the pain became lighter.

They ate.
They were listened to.
Their needs were attended to.
Women were empowered.
And the smiles that followed were priceless.

“A street family may lack a home, but they should never lack dignity, compassion, or hope.”

What touched us most was seeing people who have carried so much pain laugh again jovial, grateful, and full of life. Every small need that came before us was handled by the grace of God.

This was more than an outreach.
It was community meeting community.
It was Kenya standing with Tanzania. 🇰🇪❤️🇹🇿

Our borders may be different, but human pain has no border, and compassion should have none either.

Tanzania, thank you for opening your hearts.
Kenya and Tanzania different nations, but one heart when it comes to humanity.

“When we lift one family, we remind an entire community that hope is still alive.”

God bless every hand that served, every person who gave, every woman who found encouragement, and every family that went home with a little more hope than they came with.

FIVE YEARS ON THE STREETS… TODAY, HE IS HOME.

For five long years, the streets became his home.
Five years of sleeping without the comfort of family, facing days no child should have to face, and carrying a pain many people never saw.

But God writes stories differently.

Today, he got home safely.
Today, his family can finally sleep with peace in their hearts.
Today, a mother can look at her son and say, “You are finally home.”

And this is not the end of his story.

He is going back to school.

“Sometimes restoration begins with simply giving someone another chance.”

What looked like a lost journey is becoming a testimony.
What looked like the end was only a chapter.
God of second chances has done it again.

After five years on the streets, he is rescued, restored and reunited.

This is why we keep going.
This is why we keep feeding, counselling, rescuing, educating and reconnecting children with their families.

One rescue can restore an entire family.
One act of kindness can rewrite a life.

Sometimes life can take you from the top of the class to the cold streets.

Martin once scored A- in secondary school and was among the top students. Today, he sleeps on the streets, carrying wounds we cannot see. Whenever home is mentioned, tears tell a story his words cannot.

But we believe God is not finished with Martin. His story can still change. First, he needs healing, rehabilitation, and people willing to stand with him.

Do you remember her?

Once, she knew the dumpsite as a place to survive. There were days she slept outside with an empty stomach, while her mother struggled to find even a single meal. Life kept taking from them one disappointment after another, one painful day after another.

Her mother fought with everything she had, but sometimes love is not enough when there is no food, no shelter, and no opportunity.

Then someone chose to help.

Today, that little girl is in school.
Today, she has something she once only prayed for a chance to dream again.

What seemed impossible became possible through one simple act of kindness. God made a way where there seemed to be no way.

“Educate a girl, and you don’t just change her life you give her a future her mother once only prayed for.”

But her journey is not over. Let’s keep standing with her until she becomes everything she was created to be.

“He scored a B+… but life gave him a place no classroom could prepare him for.
A bright young man with a promising future found himself sleeping on the streets.”

Raymond ran away from home searching for something every human being deserves peace, safety, and a place to call home.

But sometimes, when we run from pain, we unknowingly run into another kind of pain.

The streets did not ask how many marks he scored.
They did not care about his dreams.
They did not care about the future he once imagined.

They only taught him how to survive.

Behind his smile are memories he may never forget. Behind his silence are days when he had to wonder where his next meal would come from, where he would sleep, and whether tomorrow would be any different.

A young man who once held a report card showing B+ was now holding onto nothing but hope.

Then, somehow, his story found a new chapter.

We rescued Raymond.

Today, he is almost completing his rehabilitation journey. He is healing, rebuilding his confidence, and slowly finding the young man who was buried beneath years of pain.

HE SCORED B- IN SCHOOL… BUT LAST NIGHT, HE WAS SLEEPING BESIDE THE ROAD.

How does a young man with a university dream end up sleeping on the streets?

Meet Raymond from Baringo County.

He came to Nairobi searching for a job and a better future. After scoring an impressive B- in secondary school, he dreamed of joining university. When the job didn’t come, he started hawking around the CBD just to survive.

Then tragedy struck.

Someone he trusted as a friend stole everything he had. With nothing left, Raymond became homeless. He was too ashamed to return home and face his parents.

Then came a message from one of you: “Raymond needs help.”

We found him sleeping beside the road and, by the faithfulness of God, we rescued him.

Today, Raymond is safe but his journey is not over. He is ready for rehabilitation, healing, and another chance at life.

Street life can hide a brilliant mind, a broken heart, and a dream waiting to be restored.
