POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Hello friends, the band will be on hiatus for a while.

This was originally something we were going to keep through word of mouth, but we decided it would be best to share with everyone. After the EP release and summer shows, we didn’t have a clear direction since what we collectively wanted to do with Tearful Warning has happened.

For the time being, we will be doing some individual exploration with music and life in general. One thing is for certain, the band is not over. We have all expressed interest to play a show when we are all ready again.

Lastly before we go off here, thank you again for all the support on our EP. The reception has meant everything.

Until next time,
TW

We are beyond thrilled to present “Tearful Warning.” Out now everywhere on all streaming platforms, YouTube, and Bandcamp. Links in our bio to listen.

This wouldn’t have been made possible without a great friend of ours, Ben Beauchene at Pillow Fort Studio in Smyrna, TN. He was gracious enough to record, mix, and master this EP.

Another friend of ours, Kai Harris, absolutely crushed our album artwork. We’re very proud of how this EP came to be musically and visually.

Three high school friends joined forces in the small town of Petersburg three years ago. We had no idea where things were going to go, but we were in for the ride.

Obviously, we have taken our time to get to this point. We’ve developed as people, music tastes have changed, and relationships have come and gone. But one thing never changed. When it comes down to us four, we’ve always had a love for the game. We persevered and reached the pinnacle of what this band is.

From Owen, Clay, Dom, and Fenn. We are proud to present the self-titled, debut EP that becomes available to you tomorrow, May 30.

We hope you take a listen and learn what Tearful Warning is about.

We released our EP one month ago today. We also just finished off our June run on Saturday.

We give a big thank you to everyone who has made all this possible. From making this EP come to life, to the photographers, and the bookers. Especially those who listened to our EP, bought our merch, and came to shows. We could’ve only dreamed of this years ago, and now we finally made it here.

Thank you.

7. Nightlight

It may not seem like it, but this song was written in one night in August 2023. It is another one of our older tracks that made the EP, and we’ve played it at most of our shows including the first. Real ones remember when we made people get down on the floor at the beginning of the song.

“Nightlight” is the emotional driver of the EP, providing a backstory that matches a particular situation of our vocalist Owen’s life. The perspective is in the mind of his child self, wishing he had a chance to be a kid in the midst of one not letting him be one. It was feelings like uncertainty, confusion, and fear which he had to face each day and night. Sleeping without a nightlight was a scary feeling for him, but in the end, it turned out to be a symbolic meaning of this past childhood relationship. The absence of a nightlight left him in the dark - neglected and anxious of what happens next. As hard as he tried to live his fantasy world and be himself in that environment, he couldn’t since he knew other places were brighter.

The EP isn’t the same without “Nightlight” as it is the perfect closer to the project. Although you have to lock in a little bit when listening to it, it’s for good reason.

We hope you appreciate this 5 1/2 minute listen, and we hope you’ve enjoyed the EP in this first week of streaming. You can now refer to lyric graphics for all tracks on the EP. See you tonight! by @tearfulwarning
