Just thought I’d put this out there 😵‍💫 I have a severe issue with not wanting to showcase myself if I’m not perfect or at a certain level of skill. But I’m working on doing things just because I enjoy doing them & not being afraid to put myself out there. I really enjoy this song & wanted to show myself having fun with it. I’m tryna get better at my craft in ballroom so if anyone has any pointers or would be kind enough to teach me personally that would be great! Let me reintroduce myself, Welcome to the Stage: Scorpio Noir 007 🦂

I walked Face & Runway at the Harlem Pride Mini Kiki Ball @ Lambda Lounge & had a timeee! I was super nervous & if I’m being honest hadn’t had much faith in myself but my friend @incessantly came through for me & boosted me with the confidence I needed to storm the runway & make it to last battle not once, not twice, not thrice but FOUR times! The highlight of my night was getting to introduce myself to the Kiki scene as Scorpio in a moment meant to give me a special shoutout. I met so many wonderful people that night & am excited to start & continue my journey into ballroom.

My one gripe was being unable to walk GNC Runway for appearing “too masculine” as GNC doesn’t have a specific look & is unique to everyone. I do hope that in my time in ballroom I can trailblaze the gnc categories & fight for more visible inclusivity in the scene. Nonetheless I had a great time & can’t wait to walk my next ball!

Panafricanism - The movement & the idea that all native Africans & people of the African diaspora must unify & form community for it is vital to our social, economical, & political progress.

May we all continue to unify & uplift each other in a world that would see us fall under the belief that we are alone & that we are outnumbered.

2025… this year has taught me many many things, from how important it is to take care of your mental health, to loving myself, more adulting shit 😭 , & how to lean on those that love me; It has also revealed those who smile in my face but would put a cigarette out on my back given the chance, relationships that no longer serve me & harsh realities about life I can say that though this year has put me through the ringer, that I’ll be coming out of this year stronger, wiser & happier.

I want to thank everyone, including those who are no longer in my life, for crossing my path this year, it has truly been a journey. May we all step into a year of abundance, joy, love & light in 2026 ✨ by @tearsofacidity
