My Dearest,

Tea time is a floral affair, and my Royal Albert Provincial Flowers is quite dressed for the occasion. One simply cannot resist a teacup adorned with blooms, can one? ☕️🌷

A little vintage treasure with a rather lovely story, this collection features floral designs inspired by the provincial flowers of Canada. Produced from 1975 to 2001 in 'Gainsborough' cup shape, these pieces pair colourful blossoms against a striking black background, finished with elegant gold trim. A most charming combination, if you ask me. ✨ There are 12 in this series and will share the rest next time.

Some teacups are simply too pretty to be kept behind glass. They deserve a little tea, a little admiration, and their fair share of afternoons in use.

Now, tell me, my dear…would you choose your tea by the blend, or by the beauty of the cup?

Should one ever seek the secret to a happy home, might I suggest a collection of charming cottage teapots, a fondness for vintage treasures, and a generous sprinkling of old-world romance? 🌹

For what is a house, if not a stage upon which our sweetest stories unfold? Each cherished piece, every quaint little teapot, lends its own magic to our beloved abode.

Every piece has its own personality, every detail has a little magic, and together they make ordinary days feel wonderfully extraordinary. 🏘️🫖

And if loving all things vintage is a crime, then I fear I shall never plead guilty. After all, a home should be as charming as its mistress and as timeless as a love letter. 💌🏡

Flower Lovin’ Friends!

I’ve noticed how much a little colour can change the feeling of a room. A corner that was once easily overlooked suddenly feels warmer, happier, and a little more inviting.🍂

Perhaps that is why I enjoy adding flowers around the house. Not because everything must be perfectly arranged, but because coming across something pretty in the middle of an ordinary day can genuinely lift my spirits. 🌷

I suppose I have always believed that home should give us little reasons to smile. And if a few blooms can do that, then I see no reason to hold back. One must allow oneself a little prettiness now and then. 🧡

My Dearest,

There is something about setting a table that has always felt rather special to me. Perhaps it is because a table is never truly just a table.

It is where we gather, share stories, laugh over the smallest things, and sometimes sit together without needing to say much at all. 🤍

I have always loved bringing out the pretty china and arranging the flowers, but what makes a table beautiful to me is the life that happens around it.

The favourite dishes, the familiar voices, the unexpected conversations, and those little moments we never think to photograph but remember years later.

A beautiful table may please the eye, but a well-loved home is what stays with the heart.

And so, for Hearth & Home, I set this table with a simple thought...

May there always be a place here for good food, good company, and the people who make ordinary days worth remembering. 🌸🍽️

My Dearest,

October has arrived, and I must say, she has made quite an entrance. 🍂

A new month feels like a lovely excuse to slow down for a moment, pour a proper cup of tea, and decide what little things might make the coming weeks more enjoyable.

For me, that usually involves pretty china, flowers, a few pages to fill, and perhaps an unreasonable amount of time arranging things just so. One must have priorities, after all. 🤭☕️

So, welcome October. May you bring us beautiful moments, good company, and plenty of reasons to linger a little longer.

My Dearest,

There are days when a little make-believe is not only welcomed, but quite necessary.𓍯𓂃

Give me flowers, a pretty teacup, and an afternoon with nowhere urgent to be, and I can quite happily pretend I live a life where this is considered a perfectly reasonable use of one’s time. 𐙚 ̊

But perhaps that is precisely the point. We spend so much of life being sensible that surely we may occasionally indulge in something simply because it delights us. ❀࿐

So, I shall make the tea, arrange the flowers, and pretend the afternoon belongs entirely to me. ☕︎

And if making tea feel like an occasion is a little old-fashioned, well… I shall gladly plead guilty. ♡

Tea, flowers, and a little bit of make-believe. One must have something to keep the imagination entertained. 𓇢𓆸
