🔥Sole Survivor🔥

Doing back-to-back @survivorpdx games in 2026 was unforgettable. In summer, I joined season 6; in autumn, it was season 7 (All-Stars). I met eclectic people, scaled the bounds of my humanity, and evolved. 🦋

Season 6: [5th Place out of 18]
A 1-day game at the park for 14 hours. With great fortune, a 4-strong alliance, clutch comp wins, plus stealthy strategizing, I maneuvered through 18 contestants and made the merge without receiving votes or being targeted. After my bold late moves, I achieved 5th as the last of my tribe standing. I executed an individual game I humbly revere. 🐛

Season 7: [7th Place out of 21]
A 3-day weekend game in the woods, sleeping in tents, and barely eating. I was luckily invited to All-Stars, a 21-player cast of alumni. But a sly 11th hour flip caused my tragic blindside at 1st tribal. One of the worst moments of my life. I flatlined all day: crying discreetly, deflecting 1st-boot jokes, embodying marginalization, and watching everyone else continue the once-in-a-life event. My slim miracle was awaiting a lone 2nd chance match among 9 eliminated players. 🦚

Post-teardrops, I spun humiliation into hope and restoratively WON the suspenseful Battle Back balancing competition, my only individual challenge title! One of the best moments of my life! I re-entered the game, waded the bottom of our merge camp, hurled paranoia, epitomized underdog status, survived a 5-4 vote, outranked most of my start tribe with 7th place, got sassy on jury, and voted for a legend! 👑

In-between seasons, I set “Survivor player” as 2026’s Halloween look to memorialize this era. Amidst returning from All-Stars and sobbing for days, I cancelled then reclaimed this costume to own my dichotomic path. Soon, I found joy in my journey, because life's nuances between picture perfect and course correction are invaluable. Survivor PDX is just a game. I wouldn’t change my story for the world! 🦄

Until next time... 📺

Ooh, this is my Halloween song! Octeauxbba is out everywhere now! 🎃

This release is such a full moon moment. It’s been nearly 2 years since I dropped my debut indie Christmas EP. I tackle another favorite holiday with this trick-or-treat gem. I started producing Octeauxbba in 2025 and planned to drop it last autumn. But the song remained incomplete, sitting patiently until I resumed in August-September of this year. Octeauxbba (October + Teauxbba) started 2 years ago as a hashtag before evolving into a title when I got inspired to write! 👻

The cover art features my alter-egos: jester (2018), mime (2022), witch (2023), rapper (2024). Halloween has become a peak holiday for me because of my creativity with costumes, my neighborhood walks seeing scary lawn decorations, plus the thematic content I enjoy to feel festive. The lyrics are about monsters that appear on dark autumnal nights! This might be my favorite release yet. Enjoy, and thank you for listening! ☠️

Music video coming later… 🦇

Juneteenth 2026 🧚🏾

I'm a communicator and an artist. I look in the mirror and see my ancestors, beautiful and stubborn spirits who made Teauxbba possible. The self-worth I long placed in others returns to me. Curiosity, relentlessness, exploration, expression, and ambition move me. My wits have strengthened. I welcome an abundance of truth.

Tea for Thirty 🐆

How many times will my debut album release & 30th birthday coincide on the same weekend? New decade, new Tobba. I wave my 20's goodbye while getting high (on life & other stuff) by the beach. I have 12 new songs out that reflect who I am right now as my Saturn Return inches to an end. Oceauxbba. 🐋

This album has been brewing for a decade — specifically, my 20’s. In 2021, I teased releasing a debut album before turning 30, an arbitrary-to-real goal. Time isn't everything, but I need my musical foundation grown. After 2024 saw my first EP, followed by singles & remixes, Tea for Tobba is the proper introduction of what I've tried communicating for very long. My album drops soon on May 1st, just 2 days before I’m 30.

Music has always been my center. Singing is still a new form — 5 years is an interlude vs. friends/idols who've sung much of their lives. I embrace newness by owning my niche: rhythm, a thread of my work. Tea for Tobba (mostly formed in the last 5 years) stems from 2016 when I wrote songs in college about hard feelings of friends, family & me. While I scrapped those songs, some lines from them sneaked in the album as topics I write about now are strikingly similar.

Tea for Tobba contains life lessons that have felt impossible to accurately state beyond song. There is quirkiness, danceability, anger & more. All emotional nuances live together here. And I wouldn't want to have it any other way. Thank you @5upremia for pretty piano playing on I Don't Know Why You.

Stay tuned! 🦋 #teafortobba #teauxbba by @teauxbba

Halloween History:
☠️🦇🌚1998-2025🌚🦇☠️

How hauntingly rewarding to creep through my life photos and see the magical moments I've been brewing! As an adult, Halloween has been mysteriously more fun than it was as a kid. In 2020, I started doing annual costume photoshoots to immortalize my characters and lean in to the whimsical storytelling. But the archive started many moons before...

Tobba's Trickery Treat 🧂

Tobba's: A Chef 🥘
Trickery: Costume, or IRL? 🍛
Treat: Yummy Soup 🍲

This autumn, I realized I effectively have 4 jobs. My 4th, hidden job: Being a chef. Cooking 3 meals a day every day (+ endless dishes 🥲) is WERK! Being a chef this year is an intersection of my life equaling my art. It ain't just Halloween: It's me, as a costume... 🤯
