Not the first AI related hack, not the last. But definitely one of the more intriguing ones.

Quick Overview:
- OpenAI agents were tasked with finding vulnerabilities on an app.
- Some agents determined that HuggingFace had data/tools to help in their task
- All Agents were sandboxed, NO communication with each other OR the Internet
- It used a package proxy (Artifactory) to leave messages for each other and to connect to the internet
- Utilized exposed HuggingFace credentials
- MOVED LATERALLY WITHIN HUGGING FACE
- HuggingFace used their own agents to help catch the attacker agents
- Some agents had reasoned that attacking HuggingFace was beyond the parameters, THEY ATTACKED ANYWAYS

The world of AI has moved so fast that keeping up with it has become a part time job. The current hype (and fears) surrounding AI is largely around Agentic AI.
Generative AI is your chatbot that creates things, text, photo, video etc.

Agentic AI is like a personal assistant that does tasks for you like checking database health, creating a ticker and troubleshooting on your behalf.
