🔥 Striker Training at Tech Academy Soccer

We create an environment where every rep matters. From finishing technique and movement off the ball to decision-making in front of goal — we focus on the details that make the difference.

Our sessions are built to elevate your Game IQ, sharpen your technique, and develop real position-specific tools that translate to the game.

We offer position-specific training for strikers, midfielders, and defenders — all designed to help players train with purpose and play with confidence.

Now offering sessions at both our South Plainfield and Hillsborough locations.

Train with purpose. Play with confidence. 💯

Most players scan before the ball arrives. Then their head drops the second they receive it. 👀

The game doesn’t pause once the ball is at your feet. Defenders step, lanes close, space opens for half a second, and you’re still playing off the picture you had before your first touch.

This drill trains the part most people skip:
📱 Phone 1 → where your first touch goes
🔴 Red → switch feet, protect it, find the next picture
🟢 Green → you’re free, shoot

The key: scan when the ball is off your foot, not on it. That gap between touches is your window.

Off the ball gets you started. On the ball is where you win games

The people behind Tech Academy. 🖤💛⚽️

We’re lucky to have an incredible team of coaches, but what makes them truly special is the people they are beyond the game.

Their passion, character, and genuine care for every player are what make Tech Academy what it is today.

They don’t just represent Tech Academy. They ARE Tech Academy.

Proud of this team and everything we’re building together.

Work Quiet. Play Loud. ⚽️

Change up finish,

if the defender is a step behind you can predict they will lunge to block the shot or you faint to get the reaction out of them.

If you notice the last example on slide 2 inside the 18yrd box defenders will be hesitant to tackle and will lunge to block first before they resort to a tackling. by @techacademysoccer
