Figure AI reportedly destroyed a large part of its older F.02 humanoid robot fleet by having the robots autonomously jump into a 75-ton industrial furnace filled with molten steel in Finland.

Instead of manually dismantling the machines, the company used the furnace to make sure its proprietary hardware and engineering could not be recovered or reverse-engineered. The destruction was turned into a cinematic marketing stunt inspired by Terminator 2, even featuring an appearance from Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Beyond the spectacle, the campaign raises questions about a growing trend: highly advanced and expensive machines can become disposable the moment a newer generation arrives, sometimes turning technological obsolescence into marketing content.

Robots into molten steel. Marketing and security at once.

Google just dropped Gemini 4 Argon and claims it beats GPT-6 Astra and Opus 5.5 on reasoning, coding, and multimodal benchmarks.

Three flagship models from three companies in under a month. The gap between first and third place is now measured in weeks, not years.

Every launch now comes with a benchmark chart showing it wins, and every chart is picked by the company that made the model.

Does anyone actually believe these benchmarks anymore, or has 'most advanced model yet' become the most meaningless phrase in tech?

An air conditioner functions as a heat transfer system rather than a cold air generator, utilizing the physical properties of a refrigerant to move thermal energy from inside a building to the outside.

The process begins at the evaporator coil located indoors, where warm room air is blown over cold copper tubes filled with liquid refrigerant. As the refrigerant absorbs heat from the air, it undergoes a phase change, evaporating into a low pressure gas. This chilled air is then circulated back into the room, while the now warm gas is pumped to the outdoor unit.

Once outside, the compressor increases the pressure of the gas, significantly raising its temperature. This high pressure, high heat gas enters the condenser coils, where an outdoor fan blows ambient air over the tubes to dissipate the heat into the environment. As the refrigerant cools down, it reverts to a liquid state.

Finally, the liquid passes through an expansion valve, which rapidly reduces its pressure, causing its temperature to drop drastically before it returns to the indoor unit to repeat the cycle.

Throughout this process, the system also removes humidity, as warm air hits the cold indoor coils, moisture condenses into water droplets and is drained away, leaving the indoor environment both cooler and drier.

Jaguar's comeback car has 1,015 hp, no rear window, and a $130,000 price tag.

The Type 01 is a four-seat electric GT with three motors, 0-60 in 3.2 seconds, and a 0.23 drag coefficient. It adds about 200 miles of range in 13 minutes and weighs over 5,500 pounds.

Jaguar used to sell style for less than the Germans. This one asks Porsche money from a brand that's spent two years arguing about its own identity.

Would you spend $130K on a Jaguar, or is this a car you admire and never buy?

This ad is going viral as a Tesla roast. It's from 2017, and it wasn't about Tesla at all.
Alfa Romeo Israel made it to sell the Giulia, a driver trapped in an autonomous car that misunderstands him, overrules him, and won't give the wheel back. The tagline: 'It might be your last chance to drive.'
Nine years later every automaker is shipping AI assistants, and a joke about a car that won't listen to you reads like a documentary.
Do you actually want your car to drive itself, or do you just want one that does what you tell it?

One person, one weekend, and an AI built something a 3D studio would have charged $50,000 for.
Konstantin Saifo used Claude to build a fully interactive SpaceX Raptor 3 in the browser. Cut it open, pull the turbopumps apart, trace the methane and oxygen, throttle it and watch the exhaust change in real time.
Two years ago this needed a team of engineers, animators, and developers. Now it needs a prompt and a weekend.
If a solo creator can ship this for free, what exactly is a $200K engineering visualization team selling?

Developer Emir Karşıyakalı made a 2007 Nokia phone communicate with Claude.

He used a custom Java ME client and a server connected to Anthropic’s API. The Nokia does not run Claude locally on its 8 MB of memory. Instead the Java app sends messages to an intermediary server that handles the outdated TLS connection and returns the response.

It is a smart demonstration of how old hardware can still act as an interface when modern computing is handled remotely.

Apple’s next iPhone Air is reportedly targeting an early 2027 launch.

Upgrades focus on fixing the ultra-thin phone’s biggest compromises while keeping its slim design. Reports suggest Apple is testing a second 48MP Ultra Wide camera alongside the 48MP main camera, while a supply-chain leak points to a battery around 3,500mAh. The phone could also feature a roughly 6.55-inch 120Hz display and improved battery efficiency.

The iPhone Air 2 is also expected to use an A20 Pro chip built on TSMC’s 2nm process, with reports pointing to a spring 2027 release. Apple has not officially confirmed these specifications or the launch timing.

Slim design. Fewer compromises. Spring 2027 target.

GTA 6 NPCs will steal your car if you leave it unattended.

In a hands-on preview, Jason and Lucia parked, jumped off a bridge with a crowd of NPCs, and came back to an empty spot. Nobody scripted that. The world just did what a world would do.

Previews also describe NPC robberies and reactive crowds. Rockstar hasn't confirmed car theft is a regular mechanic, but one unscripted theft is the whole point.
Is this the first truly living open world, or the kind of emergent chaos that'll be hilarious once and infuriating the fiftieth time?

Apple spends $35 billion a year on R&D, and the most visible result is buttons that look wet.

Liquid Glass is the biggest redesign since iOS 7 in 2013, every icon, slider, and menu now bends light and reacts to what's underneath it. It's beautiful. It's also the first Apple redesign where a lot of people asked for a way to turn it off.

A year in, the debate hasn't settled: is this what premium feels like, or did Apple just make your phone harder to read?

Did you leave Liquid Glass on, or did you dig through Settings to tone it down?

This is what time would look like if you could see it.
A busy crosswalk, rendered as a rotating 3D block, every person and car leaving a trail that shows where they've been and where they're going. Past, present, and future, all in one frame.
The creator calls it 3.5D, not a true fourth dimension, and he's right, but it's the closest thing to seeing spacetime most of us will ever get.
If you could see everyone's trail through time like this, would you want to, or is not knowing where people are headed the only thing that makes a crowd bearable?

Tesla just shipped a software update that turns your car into a haunted house.

Ghost costume on the center screen, flickering headlights in Trick or Treat mode, a Halloween light show, and a remote app that lets you talk through the car in a spooky voice to whoever's standing next to it.
No other automaker ships seasonal features over the air. Your car is now a device that gets a Halloween update like your phone does.

Is this the fun part of owning a computer on wheels, or exactly the kind of gimmick Tesla ships when the actual self-driving update is late again?
