In its demo, Astra moves between apps, builds a 3D rocket, creates presentations, edits documents, books a tennis court, and even orders food. It can also prepare 3D models for printing, turning digital creations into physical objects.

The biggest shift is that you no longer need to learn a separate tool for every task. You simply tell Astra what you want, and it can navigate your computer, use the right applications, and complete the task for you.

Christopher Olah, who researches how AI models work internally at Anthropic, recently shared a fascinating insight during a talk at the Vatican.

His team discovered internal patterns in Claude associated with concepts such as joy, fear, grief, and calm. These patterns weren't explicitly programmed by engineers.

Instead, they emerged naturally as the model learned from vast amounts of human-written text.
