This is what a second chance looks like. God did this for us. $20, two friends, on a Sunday after church... We went into the office and got married. We didn't announce it. He went to work and I went home. July 2018 and counting. 🎉🙏🏽🌟💥 by @techgurlz

Started my PTO in Brighton,MI with the hubby for my Anniversary,Landed in Ann arbor for the Art fair and shopping, stopped in Farmington Hills to Host Gospel Karaoke, made a little appearance at Mesa in Rotal Oak which was Amazing, then Wrapped up my PTO in Chicago with my 2nd born which was amazing. I had the best unplanned vacation week ever lol by @techgurlz

Today is MY BIG DAY. I graduate with my Associates Degree in Cybersecurity!!! If no one else is proud of me, I'm proud of me. When I was 14 and pregnant, if there was social media, I would've been all over the Internet being shamed. It was a shame. But yesterday, while downtown on the rooftop of Little Caesars Head Quarters, I looked around and said" this place has changed in the past 20 years" This is the same street my two sisters and I use to walk, playing in the fountains, going to Hart Plaza, just tryimh to find somewhere to play, killing time, before we had to go back to the homeless shelter. We stayed in many. We lived in Hotels, slept on people's floors, and I can remember being in two crack houses, one had no toilets, no lights. We were just upstairs wishing someone would rescue us. I knew back then, this was not the way I was going to live. I vowed not to ever put a joint, cigarette, or pipe to my mouth, ever. I didn't do any drugs and never will.

I'm not 14 anymore, I'm now 49, and just like downtown is unrecognizable, so am I, on purpose. This is just a tiny, tiny part of my story. God has been good to me. If I had died today, my picture would be in everyone's page, talking about who I was to them, how I helped them and their family, how good of a church member, Sunday school teacher, Outreach Coordinator, HOA president-( well they probably wouldn't post me, who likes an HOA president 🤣) Capuchin volunteer, Macomb Walkers President, Mother of 5 who didn't miss a birthday, graduation, school play, sporting event, babies being born, didn't do drugs or live like the world just because of them. There would have matching tshirts, a horse and buggy, a venue, and a menu if I left this world, and all in one week!!!!!

But, I'm only graduating from College, when I didn't get through the 9th grade. I have already been hired in my fully remote position before I graduated. EVERYTHING that should've made me quit came my way, especially when my dog died. Especially when I was in the City and had a gun pulled on me. Let's not talk about when my dog died. I wanted to just die with him.
