The Epsilon-Phi Chapter of Kappa Sigma is proud to introduce our Fall 2026 Xi Class — a record breaking 79 gentlemen, marking the largest class in our chapter’s history.

A special thank you to our rush committee for their hard work throughout recruitment.

We’re excited to watch these men grow into true gentlemen and carry forward the values and traditions of Kappa Sigma.

It is with incredibly heavy hearts that the Epsilon-Phi Chapter mourns the loss of our brother, Matthew James Mitchell.

Matthew’s fight was unlike anything someone his age should ever have to endure. After being diagnosed with a brain tumor, he battled cancer multiple times, beating it twice and continuing to face every setback with incredible strength, courage, and faith. Even when the cancer returned and his fight became more difficult than ever, Matthew never stopped fighting.

Through it all, he never stopped being the brother and friend we knew and loved. His strength inspired everyone around him, but Matthew will be remembered for so much more than his battle with cancer. He will be remembered for the memories, laughs, friendships, and impact he left on this chapter and everyone fortunate enough to know him.

We wish more than anything that beating cancer twice could have been the end of his story. Instead, we are left grateful for every moment we were given with him and incredibly proud to forever call him our brother.

Our hearts and prayers are with the Mitchell family and everyone who loved Matthew.

Rest easy, Brother Mitchell. Your fight is over, but your legacy will live on forever within Epsilon-Phi.
