The DGX Spark is $7,000 now, and I regret not getting two more.

When they started running out, I placed a pickup order for two at the $4,900 price. I kept asking myself if I really needed another two. I’m grateful to have two right now, but seeing this price gives me that FOMO.

Is it because the new Spark laptops are coming out, or is this AI craze a bubble that’s about to burst?

My Dual 5090 machine now vents straight out the window.

The vents printed overnight. I was going to just tape them on, but I ended up mounting them the proper way, with the exhaust fan on a little controller. Even at maximum it’s pretty quiet. The 3D printer is hooked up to an exhaust too, and the AC stays just in case it still gets hot in here.

The black duct looks so much better than the silver one, so I might swap it out. Black or silver?

I 3D printed an exhaust cover for my Dual 5090 machine.

The plan is a hose duct from the PC to the window, so the hot air goes outside. The first prototype printed with 0% infill. I didn’t realize. Yes, I could turn on the AC, but routing the heat outside just feels like a no-brainer, especially in winter.

Would you duct the heat out the window, or just turn on the AC?

There’s a DGX Spark available in Yonkers, New York, and another one in Westbury.

If you’re near one tomorrow morning, I’m sure a good amount of people will be waiting. I’m too far and I have to work, but man, a third one would let me run GLM 5.3 even faster.

85GB of memory used on my M3 Ultra, and I’m not even running a local model.

I’m working on a video with Fusion 360 open and a couple of Claude Code sessions going, and memory pressure is still super healthy. I’m really vibing with this machine.

Now I’m debating selling it for the M5, which I can’t even get until February. And I still have an M4 Max to sell.

I’ve checked Micro Center and refreshed the page like a maniac. Nothing. GLM is amazing, but I’m trying to work out if this is even worth it at that price.
