In this industry, you can get so caught up doing the work that you forget to pause and appreciate how far you’ve come and the people who helped you get there. As your skills grow and people trust you, the calls keep coming. So does the responsibility, and sometimes the exhaustion.
•
We make it look easy because we care about our craft. That doesn’t mean it comes easy.
•
To everyone who has helped me along the way, checked in, or understood the physical and emotional demands of this work: thank you. 🙏
•
To the next generation coming up: learn your craft, protect your health, and know that recovery ❤️‍🩹 and asking for help belongs in the process. Your longevity matters just as much as your next booking.
•
This past weekend I had two doubles. Friday - Northwestern Football set up day. Gimbal ops/video producer for the HLAI Gala. Saturday - Game Day at Northwestern and Wolves HH with some pre game on the ice 🎥🏒😵‍💫

🎙️ NEW EPISODE OUT NOW 🎙️

25 years on the floor. One documentary to tell it all.
We sat down with Miguel “TeCK” Arteaga — founder of Who Came 2 Serve? and the mind behind “The Last Stance,” a 10-part documentary on Hip-Hop culture, breaking battles, and building something that lasts.

The floor made him. Now you get to hear his story. 🔥

Summer 2026 🕺🎥

The @ergorig has been a game changer for me. Being in my 40’s I’ve been thinking about how much longer I can perform at a high level, specifically at the handheld position.
•
Doing concerts in particular, are some of the most demanding hand held positions out there and it’s one of my favorite things to shoot.
•
The ErgoRig transfers all the weight to the hips and the camera never touches the shoulder 🤩 Lately I’ve been feeling like it’s cheating but at this age I’ll take all the hacks I can get 🎥🕺 taken in Chicago, Illinois by @teckuno

Thanks to everyone who’s been showing love to the old footage I’ve been posting. Hip Hop culture is an American inner-city culture, so naturally, being born and raised in Chicago, I was exposed to it in my teens. It became a big part of my artistic identity, something I still carry into every show I do in one way or another.

On that note, I want to express how demanding this kind of work really is. Operating is as much physical as it is mental. Long hours, constant focus, split-second decisions, and staying creative under pressure all while making it look effortless.

I’m especially grateful to the producers, stage managers, utilities and crew members who look out for camera operators, whether it’s making sure we eat, helping us move safely through a crowd, or simply recognizing what goes into doing this job well. Those gestures never go unnoticed.

To everyone behind the scenes who helps us perform at our best, thank you 🙏 🕺🎥
