In 2023 I decided to chase wave kitesurfing and it has taken me around the globe from the US, UK, North Africa to South America.

After a hell’uv of a trip to Pacasmayo, Peru with Wild Kite Peru, I caught what I was looking for and it was utterly blissful.

Low tide (zero meters) and sunrise were perfectly aligned today at Boundary Bay. I slapped on my headlamp and walked as far as I could through the tide pools. I was hoping to get the sun over the mile marker over the bay but the colours really came through.

Took this shot of a local rider at the #squamishspit one late afternoon last July as the wind was dropping quickly. The wake of the kiteboard vs the glass of the river caught my attention.

Wave Kitesurfing: An exhilarating yet humbling experience 😀

While I was awkwardly trying to get through the break, a wave snatched the board from my feet and slammed me backwards.

The Go Pro snapped an interesting angle of being submerged in the beautiful waters near Mancora, Peru.

Sometimes I get to snag a small wave session in Vancouver and the wave sailing last Sunday was a nothing but pure fun.

I’m all smiles and happy to report my surf board did not hit any logs this time out.
