What comes after systemic sameness? ✨

When systems reward everyone for thinking and leading the same way, a lot of human capability goes unseen.

Ingrid Tappin is a leadership strategist, author of Exceptionals and creator of Identity Intelligence™, a framework exploring how lived experience shapes the way people perceive, decide and lead. She is also the founder of Diverse Leaders in Tech and has spent years working with leaders and organizations on identity, leadership and systemic change.

Her work challenges conventional ideas about where human capability comes from, and explores what becomes possible when we recognize difference not simply as something to accommodate, but as a source of insight, judgment and intelligence.

It’s a question you might not expect from a bank’s chief economist.

Dr. Hans Stegeman has spent two decades inside the Dutch financial system, from CPB and Rabobank to his current role as Chief Economist at Triodos Bank.

As a PhD economist and columnist, he writes about the systems shaping our economy and society. His work challenges one assumption we rarely question: that economies must keep growing. He invites us to consider what happens when growth is no longer something we can simply take for granted.

What comes after a criminal record? 🎶

For many young people, a record can feel like the end of the story. It doesn’t have to be.

Rivelino Rigters, known as @blackrockstar , has spent more than two decades turning music and storytelling into a vehicle for connection and change. The Dutch-Surinamese artist, author and social entrepreneur founded Criminal Minded, where he works with young people in- and out of detention through creativity, mentoring and talent development.

His work explores the role creativity can play in helping people see themselves, their choices and their possibilities differently.

Earlier in 2026, he won the TEDxAmsterdam Impact Program pitch, and now it’s time for the main stage.

To move past them, we first need to understand where they come from.

Jelle Postma spent his career inside Dutch intelligence, national security and international diplomacy before founding Justice for Prosperity. A former AIVD intelligence officer, he now investigates disinformation, foreign interference and the forces that can deliberately undermine democratic societies.

His work takes a closer look at the systems behind polarization and fear, inviting us to question not only what divides us, but how those divisions are created in the first place.

What comes after religious trauma? 🎤

Sometimes, part of the answer is finding the words, and the laughs, to tell the story.

Fieke Opdam went from spending nearly ten years as a cloistered nun to becoming a stand-up comedian.
Today, she uses humor and storytelling to explore trauma, identity, resilience and the unexpected things that can grow from difficult experiences.

Her story moves from religious life to the stage, asking us to consider whether the experiences that change us might also shape the things we eventually have to offer the world.

What comes after climate apathy? 🌍

Apathy isn't always a lack of caring. Sometimes the story just isn't landing. Nhiyc (Nhi) wants to change that.

Nhi believes the climate crisis has a communication problem as much as a coordination problem. An artist, applied researcher and founder, she works across climate justice, science, deeptech, robotics, and storytelling to close the gap between what we know and what we do.

Through her ventures: @nuatlas.org, Climate Canals and Humans for Climate, she explores the role of informed collective storytelling, advocacy, and education in creating action, and brings what she calls “ruthless hope” to the challenge.

What comes after water pollution? 🍄💧

Part of the answer may be growing beneath our feet.

Juan Cruz Tubio is using fungi to rethink one of our most fundamental infrastructure challenges: how we treat water. He is the founder of @myco.farming, a Netherlands-based deep-tech company developing scalable mycofiltration systems that use fungi to filter and regenerate water.

Earlier in 2026, he won the TEDxAmsterdam Impact Program pitch, bringing a nature-based approach to infrastructure.

Last week, we brought TEDxAmsterdam Conversations to SiR ADAM for an evening exploring The Critical Role of Spaces in an Expanding World, together with Dentsu Lab.

From the spaces we live and work in, to the natural and digital environments around us, the conversation was a reminder that space is about what surrounds us. It shapes how we connect, collaborate, move and imagine what comes next.

Thank you to our brilliant speakers Stephanie Akkaoui Hughes, @ihansmeyer and @naudnvp, our moderator @sir_rotsalot, and everyone who joined us and helped make the conversation what it was.

We’re bringing together three perspectives to explore the Critical Role of Spaces in an Expanding World. And we are excited to introduce our speakers:

Co-Founder and Managing Director of Zoku, rethinking how spaces can bring together home, work and social life and how we can use limited space more intelligently while keeping it human.

Founder of Leafy, transforming unused urban façades into living ecosystems that bring biodiversity, cooling and a renewed connection with nature into the city.
