We’re excited to officially announce TEDxBellingham Square: Pa’lante, the first-ever TEDx event in Chelsea’s history 🙌🏽

On Saturday, March 6, 2027, 10 speakers will take the stage to share bold ideas, personal stories, and community-rooted solutions that move us forward together.

Speaker applications will open in August 2026.

Led by Founder, JAKE Small (@imjakesmall) and supported by Creative Media Interns Nia Harmon (@niaharmon) and Yareliz Gonzalez Falcon (@yareliz.ngf) as well as a growing group of volunteers, we endeavor to create a one-of-a-kind platform for stories in Chelsea, MA.

The most powerful ideas in the world are already here in Chelsea—we just don’t have the stage to share them… yet! ✨

Hello! I’m Yareliz, one of the Creative Media Interns with @tedxbellinghamsquare ✨

I’m a rising junior at Simmons University (@simmonsuniversity) with a double major in Political Science and Journalism.

As a class of ‘24 Chelsea Public Schools (@chelsea_public_schools_ma) graduate and Boys & Girls Club (@jordanbgcb) alum, I’ve been a Chelsea resident and a product of this community my entire life.

My goal is to represent and bring positive change for my community members! I hope to one day accomplish this goal by becoming a politician or a news broadcaster after completing college.

I am thrilled to join the TEDxBellingham Square Team this summer. I am a recent graduate of Emerson College (@emersoncollege) where I majored in Journalism with a minor in Media Studies. 🗒️

We asked residents in Chelsea what their idea worth spreading is… here’s what they said:

“Work hard — like, really hard. You gotta work hard and make it look easy. That’s what I try to do in school.”

“No matter what you’re going through, keep your head up... keep your faith.”

“Kids need to feel safe to feel their feels. Instead of saying ‘don’t be mad’ it’s like yeah, be mad but let’s find prodcutive ways to cope with that.”
