TEDxUnityPark: Momentum really raised the bar on what me and @dr.kaiposotelo thought we could achieve. After the success of our first event, Movement, we took some time and reconvened on ways we could further our vision for entrepreneurship in the Upstate.

We focused on:

1. Attendee experience and connectivity
2. Powerful array of topics aligned with strong subject matter experts

On the marketing end, I prioritized organic social and a personalized approach to getting to know our speakers and team in unique ways. We also aimed at strategic partnerships with pillars in the Greenville market to get the word out in unique ways.

3 sessions, 15 speakers, 20+ sponsors, and over 500 attendees later, we couldn’t be more thrilled with the results. We heard about how “connected and personal” the event was, which to us, really embodies everything @ted stands for. From our vendor village to panels and beyond.

This Wednesday, our Executive Director Bryan Davis took the stage at @tedxunitypark , sharing a message that reflects Furman’s growing role in shaping innovation across the Southeast.

In his talk, Bryan encouraged the audience to rethink how potential emerges within communities and highlighted why the Southeast is no longer viewed as an “emerging” market — it’s leading. With intellectual, social, and financial capital accelerating, the region is becoming a place where ideas, founders, and opportunities can thrive.

His perspective aligns with Furman’s commitment to building environments where students, faculty, and community partners can develop meaningful solutions and drive regional momentum.
