Next-level pressure requires next-level preparation.

MJ. Shaq. Kobe. (Swipe left.)

They all worked with @george.mumford , the mental performance coach behind some of basketball’s most iconic championship runs.

Phil Jackson understood what elite coaches at each level are beginning to prioritize : when everyone is talented, the mental game becomes the edge.

Today’s student-athletes are feeling that pressure sooner than ever — rankings, recruiting, NIL, transfer portal talk, social media, and everyone watching.

For years, @tmj4news The Morning Blend has invited me to share insights on kids, sports, leadership, and emotional intelligence.

This time, I’m grateful to return with Deuce McDuffie @mcd_deuce and Dooney Johnson @thedooneywatch so the conversation doesn’t just stay about student-athletes — it includes them.

I’m soooooooo proud of them because when you’re already elite, it’s easy to believe talent is enough.

But they chose to go deeper than skills and drills and work on:

The reset.
The response.
The leadership.
The communication.
The pressure moments nobody sees on the stat sheet.

Shoutout to Coach Torre @coachtjr_ and Coach T — @tee1416 thank you for trusting me to deliver this work with your teams.

Milwaukee, tune in Monday morning.
