About 8 months ago I had some surgical work done to repair an anterior hip tear. It hasn’t been the most fun to recover & it’s been a ton of work mobility-wise but about 4 months ago I got cleared to hoop again & that has been a guiding light. I wanted to share some basketball clips post-op, hooping has been a real steady practice, a goal to work towards in learning how to move proper, & a means to track my progress in recovery. Basketball has a special affinity to me, when I moved to SF a few years back I didn’t know very many people in the city so on weekends when I wasn’t working I’d get my ass to the Panhandle early to help sweep the court & get a spot in the runs there & would spend all weekends busting my ass there on defense so I’d get picked up on runs with the scene there, it was also a way to feel connected to my family & friends back home. Now living in LA it feels full circle to hoop at home, make community & get a few buckets. I hope to continue playing for a quite a while, it’s a beautiful game by @teeeven
