For my Civil look, one thing I knew I wanted was a dress that felt simple but still had that little extra something. I wanted to look bridal, but I also wanted something that felt like me.🤗

I was very intentional about making it versatile because I wanted to be able to restyle it and get different looks from the same dress. So we (myself and @oyelekan_woman ) designed the cape to be detachable, that way I was able to have that extra bridal touch with the cape on, and still have a really cute dress when I took it off and added my pearl accessories from @_jewelspearls

And honestly, I love that I could get two different looks from one dress without doing too much.

but just look at us growing strong”🥹💕

And here we are. 11 years later, still choosing each other, still growing together, still holding on, and still best friends.

From being two strangers who found each other to becoming “boyfriend and girlfriend, to fiancés, and now husband and wife. 🥹 If there’s one thing I know about us, it’s that no matter how much life changes, one thing has always remained consistent: it has always been us, choosing us.

And now, I get to do life with my best friend as his wife. I get to love him, grow with him, build with him, build our home, and watch us become everything we’ve ever dreamed of becoming, together and individually!

@samsonadeyemi_ Okikiola, I love you so so so much. If I had to do it all over again, I’d still run to you. Every single time.💕

It has always been you, It’s still you, it’s still us, and it will always be us against anything life brings our way.
