#AboutLastNight
Ended my birthday with the rare opportunity to sit in LIVE on one of the biggest radio shows on @bbc1xtra and one of my favourites too -1Xtra’s Afrosounds Show with @iamdjedu 🔥

This one was close to my heart as someone still building a career in broadcast journalism, with a deep passion for African music and African creatives.

Such an insightful experience learning from @archibald.iii and watching him produce the show, he truly knows his stuff, for realll!! 👏🏽✨

Thank you for having us @archibald.iii & @iamdjedu , and a huge thank you to @colonelcotch for making it all happen ❤️🙏

Currently listening to and loving @skyyzno ’s latest project, “ExitUs” 🎶🔥

One of my standout picks from the album so far is “A Little Love interlude” ❤️

The seven-track debut is more than just an Afro-Fusion project. ExitUs takes listeners on a journey through themes of identity, resilience, belonging and unity, drawing from the rich musical heritage of the African diaspora.

From Afrobeats and Soul to Salsa, Dembow and Reggae, I see this project as a celebration of how music can connect us despite our differences. 🌍

Go listen to ExitUs and let me know your thoughts 😊

“Why should you hire me?”

Recently, I had the opportunity to answer that question through a two-minute pitch to an audience who may not have been familiar with the different roles and opportunities within the Music & Media industry.

Preparing and delivering that pitch gave me a chance to pause and reflect on my journey, the experiences that have shaped me, and why the career path I’ve chosen across media, broadcasting and the music industry means so much to me.

Imposter syndrome kicked in before the pitch 😅. I fought back anyway. And guess what? It came back again before posting this video… but you know what? The video is up, so I WON! 😂🙌

Sometimes, the biggest win is simply choosing to show up and share your story even when that little voice tells you you’re not ready.

Don’t stop sharing your story. The world is watching. 💫

“People living with Albinism don’t need pity, they just want to be respected as Humans, treated fairly and given equal opportunities “ - @etioba_

Like everyone else, they have dreams, talents, ambitions, and the right to participate fully in society without discrimination or prejudice.

What often creates barriers are misconceptions, stigma, and unequal access to opportunities. When we choose to see people beyond their skin colour and recognize their humanity first, we create a world where everyone can thrive.

People living with Albinism deserve to be treated fairly, valued for their abilities, and given the same opportunities to learn, work, lead, and succeed.

One of the most common questions people ask about Albinism and the answer should NOT surprise you 😄

We addressed another myth and spoke on the facts about albinism. Education starts with curiosity, and every question is an opportunity to learn, understand, and break stereotypes.

Watch, learn, and share.
