👋 2024! Moved to NYC, traveled to Italy, Finished a screenplay I’m really excited about, got into Pilates, ran two half marathons, brought my nephew to Disney, Ate at 3 Michelin star restaurants with P, survived some pretty low lows, and most importantly started finding myself again. ❤️ ❤️❤️❤️ by @teekkennedy

I’ve wanted to post this for a while, but I guess I didn’t really know how.

Patrick and I started dating about a year before my Dad passed. And one thing that was really important to me was that they meet. Patrick got to meet him a few days before he passed away Christmas of 2019 and for that I am grateful.

My Dad was also my biggest cheerleader so not having him at my wedding was something I was incredibly nervous about because I knew I was going to cry all over the place.

And I did…. And I forgot a nice little hanky and had to borrow a Kleenex from my Mom’s generous cousin, Anne.

Patrick and I choose to get married at VCL because it’s where we had my Dads memorial service and somewhere my family grew up going and somewhere we all held close to our heart. Thankfully Patrick loved it too!

In my family nature is a reminder of the connective tissue of life and death. I always remind myself that by feeling the spirit in nature all around you, you begin to understand that life is nothing but absolutely positively stunning.

I felt that on this day last year. It was then that I noticed MY DAD WAS THERE. AT OUR WEDDING!!

For people that don’t know him, he was an avid wildlife and bird lover. In his later years he became a bird photographer specifically of the egrets in the area.

The Egret in this photo watched our ENTIRE ceremony. He even let us take SO MANY photos with him and for those of you that know birds they will not normally stick around like that.

Picture two is me noticing (also I love holding a microphone lol), picture 3 is my Dad. There, watching his daughter get married.

And picture 4 and 5 are of my Mom and I— who helped me plan so much of the wedding and someone that I get to call my Mom and my friend. ❤️ I’m so glad he got to watch my Mom walk me down! Love you Mom!! Love you Dad!! Love you Patrick ❤️ taken in Saint Simons Island, Georgia by @teekkennedy
