‼️ FIRST DRUM COLLAB!! ‼️ @bigislandcymbals

Sorry for the long post, but thanks for those who will read since it’s a very important one for me!! 🙏

I wanna give shootout to my friends Russell Lundgren and Joanna Hernandez for having enough trust in me as a (still) new drummer!

After being sponsored in 2 different sports, I knew my goal was to make it as far as possible as a drummer, even if I was starting the journey kinda old at 35 years old. I made a plan on my 35th birthday; to be able to make a living with my drumming before I was 40 years old, and to reevaluate at 38 years old if it was possible. So I started 2 days after, on September 9th 2021.

I knew I had it in me, I just had to work 10 times as hard as anybody else, especially since I was starting so late.

Well, the days surrounding my 38th birthday were just unreal;

- August 30th: I was offered a drum collab by Big Island cymbals. By the way guys, isn’t it the most beautiful cymbal ever!!

- September 4th: 1000 days in a row of drumming without skipping a single one! Since December 9th 2021, so it took me exactly 3 months to completely fall in love with drumming and want to play everyday for an extended period of time, which lasted way longer than I never thought (and is still on, day #1020 today)!

- September 6th: I met Thomas who took over my studio while I was moving somewhere else on the same floor.

- September 7th: my 38th birthday.

- September 11th: rehearsal for a show on September 14th with @thomasargouin, @stsaoul and @cedauger

- September 14th: an incredible show, sold out, with everyone singing and dancing. It really was an insane experience and I was able to do what they wanted me to do with a 3 days notice on songs I’ve never heard before!

We already booked other shows, so I’m gonna be playing with them in the near future too!

All of this just proves that when you really want something, you can do it! You just gotta work a lot more than anyone else. Loving what you do makes it way easier too, so just follow your passions and do it!

For the ones who kept reading to the end, thanks you! It really means a lot, and you’re truly a part of my journey.

LET’S GET IT!! 🫶🔥🤪 taken in Quebec City, Quebec by @teeshdrummer
