Faratouba was written in front of 300 children during a big gathering of huge marionettes in the village Sibi, Burkina Faso.
Yoro Masa (a local famous singer) whispered to Lasha Rukhadze:
“Toubabu Farafin abe ye kelen ye”, which means: "white or black, we are all the same". Lasha played and started singing in Dyula, one many languages spoken in Burkina Faso, and all the children started to sing along. The next day, Lasha wrote the rest of the lyrics about immigration and how hard it is for 3rd world citizens to cross the borders of the western world.
…enjoy, like & share „FARATUBA“ 🙏🏻🎶
