“And those who were seen dancing around the fire were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music.”

Burn, what can I even say to you… You came out of nowhere, just like the best things in life do. You brought me back 10 years later, only to find a different Stefi — more mature, more grown, more confident in herself, more secure, more independent, wilder, more ME.

To everyone who has something to say, whether for or against Burning Man… there’s really only one thing left to say:

This festival, in particular, is exactly what YOU are.

If you are one way, it will give you exactly that. And if you are another way, it will give you something completely different.

What I found was a magical experience, where I was able to become a carefree little girl again — happy, taken care of, surprised and amazed by everything I saw and everything that happened around me.

Even though we went through two sandstorms where it was impossible to see more than a meter ahead, and a rainstorm that caused all the events to be canceled for several hours… even though my tent flooded, and riding my bike through the mud and against the waves of sand became basically impossible…

I was still the happiest person.

Never losing my sense of wonder, gratitude, or joy.

And as within, so without.

For every “problem” or “inconvenience” I encountered, someone appeared to help me, solve it for me, or give me something even better instead.
