7Gen:Becoming by Tega Designs stepped onto the runway and was received with such warmth — something I don’t take lightly.
This collection comes from a deeply personal place — shaped by generations, guided by memory, and created slowly, by hand. Each piece carries intention, blending traditional influence with a refined, modern silhouette.

This custom three-piece ensemble was designed with Steven Tyler as the artistic muse… and tonight it’s standing beside the legend himself in LA.
I am absolutely buzzing. As a designer, you dream of moments like this — when vision, craftsmanship, and trust collide in the most surreal, electric way possible. Seeing this piece exactly where it belongs, in the energy it was created for, is beyond words.
Wilson, you are wearing this like a rockstar. What an unreal, full-circle moment for this design — and for me. Grateful. Proud.

🧡 National Day for Truth and Reconciliation
Today and tomorrow, I wear orange in remembrance of the children who were taken from their families, and in honour of the survivors who carried those experiences home with them.
For my family, these aren't stories found only in history books. We had residential school survivors in our family. Their experiences were talked about, remembered and carried through the generations. Those stories became part of what we knew—and part of what we were taught.
I tell my children what I know because I believe remembering is part of reconciliation. I want them to carry those memories and lessons with them throughout their lives, so that the truth isn't lost with the generations who lived it.
As a Métis woman, a mother, and a designer, I understand that culture, knowledge and memory are things we carry forward through what we teach, what we create and what we choose not to forget.
Truth requires us to remember.
Reconciliation requires us to listen, learn and carry that truth forward.
Today, I remember the children.
I honour the survivors.
And I carry the stories forward.
