We had the most incredible time hosting the young legends from the Amy Foundation, a Cape Town organization doing powerful work by supporting and uplifting youth through mentorship, life skills and skills development programmes. They’re changing lives in a very real way. We got to spend the day sharing our world with them chatting through the craft behind bartending, showing them how much intention goes into building a great drink, and letting them get hands-on behind the bar. Thank you for trusting us with your time and your energy. Spaces like this remind us why skills matter and how powerful it is when young people are given opportunity and room to grow. Ready? Set? SERVE! 😘💅🍸 It's giving Sex and the City realness, cause a Cosmopolitan is not only a girls best friend, but also that sassy little voice that says you can ask for more... cause we know the Universe is not on a budget! Let's start with Inverroche. Inver, Scottish for the confluence of water. Roche, French for rock. And what is any of this without having something to light it up before our eyes. The African Sun. The source of inspiration echoed throughout the way I experience my home. From melting into the horizons to bouncing back at dawn. Aside from that, its bold orange hues and countless colours are reflected everywhere in nature that surrounds us as abundant resources unlike anywhere else.. No life without it, no balance on earth, no animals, no crops, no heated sweat from having none to harvest. It is surprisingly fitting to be posting this on the night of the full Harvest moon where even that would not be possible without the sun itself. To a cocktail that embodies the glow of the sun-painted skies in Africa. 🔆 Simple, yet sun-sational ;) . Molten Skies 50ml Inverroche Amber 25ml Aperol 20ml Fresh pressed Naartjie Juice 15ml Peppadew Brine Stirred and then garnished with: Caramelised naartjie peel encapsulating leftover naartjie pulp and piquante pepper and brûléed to seal @inverroche #houseofamber #inverroche by @tegan_4d

CONNECT x COLLAB x CREATE The industry is divided into many different fields and every so often we question what each one of them has to offer; what are their purposes, how do they influence each other, how are they supported and what is the return of investment? Well, let me tell you: in the field of Education there is no such thing as immediate gratification or success. It takes a very careful group of intellectuals who can mold minds and make them fall in love with the world of mixology. It takes time and patience. With just the right spunk, a few swigs of a cocktail and genuine story telling, we as educators have the incredible privilege of inspiring and giving away our knowledge, just like our mentors have done so for us. Times change and so do teaching styles, yet we still come together because we all belong under the same umbrella. In education, we get to see people turn into individuals, some shine bright and others need a quick polish, either way the impact we create through what and how we teach is absolutely PRICELESS. When you do things from the heart, the return of investment is not tangible. You cannot physically hold it or put a monetary value to it. It comes in the form of evolution, and that is how we believe education should be done at @ebs_capetown ❤️ @ajabufestival Bartender Community Days are here. Conceptualized and executed with my amazing team mates @roxannethefox @tegan_4d @dylan_fourie_ - I salute you and thank you for investing your time and energy into the our business. 🍹 Brand sponsorship is important, and I’d like to thank @joshcantshoot @seb_the_sunflower @derrick.decks @marsonstrydom @aidan.powrie @liquid_with_eric @mrlukegibson for playing a crucial part in how bartenders can better understand mixology through brand connection and badass skills. 🙏🏼 @waldo_levendal the champ captured all the highlights and some of our graduates who helped pulled this event together 🥂 Many more to thank, and soon we will all see each other at the next event ☝️🌟🔥 #bartendercommunity #bareducation #cocktailfestival #barschool #capetown #cocktails #mentorship #collaboration by @tegan_4d
