The Spiritual Side of Oghenemine's Déath

Once again the Earth has witnessed another unfortunate life extermination in cold blood. Yet another brutal múrder by the body who were meant to protect. I'm irked, I'm worked up, I'm traumatized. The screams of the young man as he was being openly shot at resonates in my head and jolts me up from sleep anytime I close my eyes. It has been terrible for me TBH

In one press release of the police PPRO, he opined that there are spiritual connections to this incident. He pointed that the family of the slain boy had earlier lost a child to extra judicial killings of the same police as well. Such a trauma for a family 😩😞

Now here's my own view of things. In the Bible there was a record of how innocent people were killed and their blood cried out to God. The primary Bible verse where innocent blood cries out to God is Genesis 4:10, where God tells Cain, "The voice of your brother's blood is crying out to me from the ground". This signifies that God hears the cries of the murdered and acts as their avenger, ensuring justice for unjustly shed blood. Just like the instance of Mohbad that shook the Earth, this boy's blood has cried to the heavens and it's causing an uproar. Remember what happened with the accomplices of Mohbad's death and how they have totally become of zero relevance in life. The police may have been shedding innocent blood and getting away with it but as it is, God has heard the cry of this one from the heavens and is avenging his déath.

Then again, there's no how we can ever explain why two children from the same mother and the same family got cut down by extra judicial kîllings. It's no normal coincidences. Something is wrong. Until then we pray and hope that Nigeria will do right by it's citizens as regards protecting lives and property. The policing in this country right now is a mess

You see those your school mates that seem to have 'arrived' distancing themselves from you? Don’t be surprised.

You see those neighbours who are looking affluent dissing your company and looking down on you? Smile.

You see those colleagues in the office who have gone rounds in promotion up the ladder compared to you and are snubbing you? Don’t hate them.

You see those professionals in the same marketplace that have made it big and are using their success to shame you? Do not cringe.

You see… that is the nature and propensity of the average man who is still myopic about the dynamics of life and the engagement of time.

Because here is the truth many won’t tell you:
People don’t just react to your present - they react to what they think your future will be.

When they believe you’ve peaked, they distance.
When they think you’re behind, they dismiss.
When your pace doesn’t match theirs, they overlook you.

But life is not a sprint. It’s not even a straight road. It is seasons… timing… alignment… preparation meeting opportunity.

The loudest people today are not always the strongest... they are just the most visible.
And visibility is not the same thing as value.

So instead of shrinking, do something different.
Go quiet.

Disappear from unnecessary noise.
Disappear from comparison.
Disappear from seeking validation.

And in that silence… build.

Build your skill until it speaks louder than opinions.
Build your discipline until it outgrows excuses.
Build your resilience until rejection becomes fuel.

Let them celebrate early. You are preparing to finish strong.

Because time has a way of humbling noise and rewarding consistency.
The same people who look past you today will one day wonder how you pulled it off.

And you won’t need to argue, explain, or prove anything.
Your results will speak in a language they understand.

So hold your head up.
Stay focused.
Stay working.

Disappear, do the work, and let your emergence rewrite every doubt they ever had about you.

I am so sure that you will succeed.

*Please avoid anything that can put you on an emergency theatre table.*

*Because in this country, emergency surgery is not just medical.*
*It is financial*.

*In places like Lagos and many parts of Nigeria, trauma doesn’t wait for bank alerts.*

*Road traffic accidents.*
*Stabbings.*
*Gunshot wounds.*
*Assault injuries.*

*They arrive at midnight.*

*And the first question families ask is not always about prognosis.*

*It is….*
*How much?*

*Emergency laparotomy.*
*Neurosurgery.*
*ICU admission.*
*Blood transfusion.*

*These are life-saving.*
*But they are* *expensive*.

*I have seen relatives make 50 phone calls in one hour.*
*I have seen mothers remove wrappers and earrings.*
*I have seen fathers break down quietly in corridors.*

*Court cases are costly.*
*But emergency surgery can empty generations.*

*The lesson is simple…*

* Live carefully
* Drive carefully.
* Choose your fights carefully.
* Avoid crime.
* Avoid reckless lifestyles.

*..Because one bad decision can become…*
**A hospital emergency*
*A financial collapse*

*Prevention is cheaper than cure.*
*And it is far cheaper than emergency surgery.*

*Sometimes wisdom is not fear.*

*It is foresight.*

Let’s keep religion and culture aside and talk about the biological debt being passed to the children.

In animal husbandry, this is called inbreeding depression, and any experienced farmer knows it’s the fastest way to ruin a lineage.

When I raised pigs, we bought boars from other towns to ensure 'hybrid vigor.'

Without it, you get piglets born paralyzed or dropping dead because hidden 'bad genes'—which usually stay dormant in unrelated couples—suddenly find their match.

In humans, the science is the same: the risk of birth defects and infant mortality doubles in first-cousin marriages.

Nature literally programmed lions to chase young males out to prevent this. It’s not just about 'birth defects'; it’s about the immune system. Genetic diversity is a child's only defense against disease.

When you narrow that gene pool, you are effectively handicapping the next generation’s ability to survive. The people who fought against family marriage weren't being 'westernized'; they were following the 4-billion-year-old law of survival.
