I am incredibly proud to announce that our documentary Independent Candidate has been selected in the documentary feature competition at the 20th edition of the Gibara International Film Festival Pobre de Gibara, Cuba 🇨🇺 @ficgibara - founded in 2003 by legendary director Humberto Solás.

I’d like to thank all the film’s participants for their passion & generosity and especially @fiona_lali who will be attending the festival in July.
I would also like to take this opportunity to send love and solidarity to the Cuban people in this difficult moment.

Me enorgullece enormemente anunciar que nuestro documental Candidata Independente ha sido seleccionado para la competición de largometraje documental en la 20ª edición del Festival Internacional de Cine de Pobre de Gibara / @ficgibara - fundado en 2003 por el legendario director Humberto Solás.

Quisiera agradecer a todas las personas que han participado en la película por su pasión y generosidad, y especialmente a @fiona_lali , que asistirá al festival en julio en Gibara.

También quisiera aprovechar la ocasión para brindar mi amor y solidaridad al pueblo cubano en este momento tan difícil.

🗓 Saturday 5 July | 1.30pm–3.30pm
📍 @genesiscinema, 93–95 Mile End Rd, Bethnal Green, London E1 4UJ

I’m very happy to announce the premiere of my new documentary Independent Candidate, an observational film following @fiona_lali parliamentary campaign in Stratford & Bow, East London.

🕑 The screening starts at 2pm, followed by a Q&A with Fiona & myself chaired by @pablonav1 (Alborada Films) and Sam Liebmann (Filmmaker).

1.40pm we will screen FIDSA Newsreel Nr. 2 (10 mins), which will be introduced by its director @rodrivaz69 .
