“The heart of man is desperately wicked” (CHECK PREVIOUS POST FOR THE BACK STORY),

I used to hear and read that scripture and thought it never applied to me. I was a good person who would never hurt anyone. Wicked people are those who those who fly at night 🧙 or those to hurt people (robbers, policemen and politicians), little did I know my heart possessed a kind of wicked.

My heart in a bid to satisfy itself has charted routes I never knew it would ever take. Hurt people I never knew I had the ability to hurt. This saddened me and I’m sure for some of us too.

This is why I let THE KING stir my heart and hold it and most important of all - SATISFY IT. I’m still learning and it’s gonna take a while 🙂 but I challenge you too.

+1. the vulnerable year. 💛

vulnerability without accountability is just manipulation with better lighting. yeah i said it.

and i had to tell myself that first lol.

because i was really good at the first part. “i’m anxious” “i’m scared” “i’m trying” cute captions. but so what? what did i actually do after?

this past year taught me openness is not the same as growth. talking is not doing.

so for this +1 i’m trying something else. feel it, yes. but also own it. and fix it. and stay humble enough to be told i’m wrong even when i’m still crying about it. that’s the hard part.

i’m still scared sha. what if i overshare? what if i sound stupid? what if the wrong people get it and the right people don’t? what if i don’t even have the mind to hold all this honesty?

i don’t know if i’m doing this because i want to be seen or because i’m actually called to do it. sometimes both.

but i’m here. accountable for what i did, responsible for what i’ll do next. and giving myself plenty grace to try again and again and again till it sticks.

less performing. more becoming.
