🎃 Don't Bin Your Pumpkins This Halloween!

Once the Halloween decorations come down, don't let your pumpkins go to waste!

Did you know that pumpkins can make a great addition to your garden compost? 🍂

By chopping up your leftover pumpkins and adding them to your compost heap, you can help create nutrient-rich compost that improves your garden soil and supports healthy plant growth.

It's a simple way to reduce waste while giving something back to your garden! 🌱

At TEK Fencing & Landscaping, we know that a great garden starts with good groundwork and healthy soil. From planting and landscaping to ongoing garden maintenance, we help homeowners make the most of their outdoor spaces throughout the seasons.

So, once the pumpkin carving is over, why not give your garden a little treat too?

❄️ Are Your Fences Ready for Winter?

With winter just around the corner, now is a good time to check that your garden fencing is up to the job!

Strong winds, heavy rain and freezing temperatures can take their toll on older fencing, especially if you've already got loose panels, leaning posts or damaged timber.

🍂 A few things to look out for:
- Loose or wobbly fence posts
- Cracked or damaged panels
- Rotting timber
- Fencing that's starting to lean

If your fencing has seen better days, it's worth getting it sorted before the worst of the winter weather arrives.

At TEK Fencing & Landscaping, we install quality fencing to help keep your garden secure, private and looking its best throughout the year.

🍂 A Better Driveway for the Wetter Months Ahead!

As the autumn weather settles in, is your driveway ready for the rain, mud and colder months ahead?

Cracked paving, uneven surfaces and puddles can make your driveway less practical, especially at this time of year.

At TEK Fencing & Landscaping, we help homeowners transform tired driveways into attractive, durable and practical spaces that are built to stand the test of time.

🏡 A professionally installed driveway doesn't just improve the appearance of your home. With the right preparation and drainage, it can make everyday access easier and help prevent those frustrating puddles during the wetter months.

Thinking your driveway could do with an upgrade?

Now is a great time to start planning! Get in touch with our friendly team to discuss how we can transform the entrance to your home.

There’s nothing better than hearing that a completed project is already making a difference. ⭐

Following the installation of a new bike shelter at Clearwater Church of England Primary Academy, we were delighted to receive this feedback from their School Business Manager.

When working within a school environment, delivering a great finished result is only part of the job. Keeping the site secure, working considerately around staff and pupils, and minimising disruption are just as important.

A big thank you to Clearwater Church of England Primary Academy for the kind words, and well done to the TEK team for another job well done! 👏

Would your garden pass the "Neighbour Test?"

Be honest... if your neighbours looked over the fence today, what would they see?

🌿 A perfectly kept lawn?
🌸 Beautiful borders?
🪵 A smart new fence?
🤫 Or perhaps a few weeds you've been meaning to tackle for weeks...

No judgement here, we've all been there! 😄

Whether your outdoor space just needs a little TLC or you're thinking about a complete transformation, we're here to help create a garden you'll be proud of all year round.

☀️ Ever wondered how we keep working through a heatwave?

When temperatures soar, it's not simply a case of carrying on as normal. Working outdoors means adapting to the conditions to keep both our team safe and the quality of our work high.

That's why during periods of extreme heat we:
🌅 Start as early as possible to make the most of the cooler morning temperatures.
⏰ Aim to complete the most physically demanding work before the intense afternoon sun arrives.
💧 Take regular hydration breaks throughout the day.
🧢 Wear appropriate PPE and sun protection.
🌳 Use shaded areas whenever possible for breaks and preparation.

It takes careful planning, but it means we can continue delivering high-quality fencing and landscaping projects while putting the wellbeing of our team first.

If you spot us working early in the morning over the next few weeks, now you know why! 😎 by @tekfencingltd

🔨 One Contractor, One Project, One Solution

"Many homeowners arrange fencing and landscaping separately—but why not tackle both together?

By combining fencing, turfing, sleeper work, garden borders and landscaping into one project, you can completely transform your garden while saving time and hassle.

From the boundary to the finishing touches, TEK Fencing can help create a garden you'll love spending time in."

🥵 With a Red Weather Warning in place this week, have you ever wondered how fencing and landscaping teams work in these extreme temperatures?

While many people are understandably staying out of the heat, some projects still need to keep moving, but safety always comes first.

At TEK Fencing, our team adapts how we work during hot weather. That often means:

🌅 Starting much earlier in the morning to make the most of the cooler temperatures

☀️ Avoiding the intense midday sun when temperatures are at their highest

💧 Taking regular breaks, staying hydrated and looking after the team's wellbeing

🌤️ Returning later in the afternoon or evening when conditions become more manageable

Working outdoors in temperatures like these can be challenging, whether we're installing fencing, carrying out landscaping works or operating machinery. Planning our days carefully helps us maintain high standards while ensuring everyone stays safe.

If you're spending time outdoors this week, remember to drink plenty of water, seek shade where possible and avoid strenuous activity during the hottest part of the day.

Stay safe and stay cool everyone! ☀️ by @tekfencingltd
