some things just aren’t invited into november…

we’re protecting our peace this halloween, one ghost at a time 👻 by @tekla_back

Popped into @central_market to see KEY on the shelves. Briefly lost the plot somewhere between Healthy Living and the drinks aisle.

Defo needed some of that KEY steady nerves energy myself 🫠

Texas peeps, go find your @drinkkey.life . Preferably with less drama than me.

I snuck out to see science - my first love 🤓

Ketones have been in our bodies forever. We’ve been studying them here and there for decades. Recently it has all been coming together.

Ketones are a fuel for the brain, heart and muscles, but they’re also signals. Which means there’s more going on than just providing energy.

Being able to raise ketones with a drink is handy (not so subtle plug for @drinkkey.life ) We can look at what ketones do without the keto diet or having them lose weight. Turns out they do a lot.

More randomized controlled trials are helping prove the benefits. Lots of questions still. I went with a few and came back with more. Occupational hazard.

Thought I’d share a bit of what I learnt here. Too nerdy? Or want more? 🤓

Thank you to @ketogenicfoundation for this founding event, and to @metabolicmind for the support - and to whoever took this pic. Love this crew 💛.

KEY counts as greens, right? 💚 by @tekla_back

Testing new products under lab conditions — hot Pilates 😅

Thank you @giselle.orentas and @shopbalangy for having me - and @fuzehouse for bringing the heat.

The products smell soooo good, the room was full of brilliant women, and my muscles formally submitted a complaint.

Miami women show up for women building 🤍
Go check out 🛒 at @shopbalangy.

Two co-founders. Two cities. Wildly different days building one company, KEY 🔑

From Miami to New York, here’s a day in the life of our co-founders powered by ketones, obviously 💚 by @tekla_back

Rivals to co-founders. Now that’s a plot twist.

One came from Coca-Cola. The other from PepsiCo. so obviously, the can could be neither red nor blue.

It had to be green. 💚 by @tekla_back

I am always right 🤓

Hold up your hands. They have the same parts but are mirror images, so no matter how you turn them, you can’t get your right hand into your left glove.

Some molecules work the same way: same atoms, same formula, but arranged in opposite 3D shapes — and your body absolutely knows the difference.

Your enzymes and receptors have shapes too, so they can recognize and respond differently to each version. The reel has a smelly example.

For KEY @drinkkey.life that tiny R in R-1,3-BDO identifies the specific molecular form we use—the one your body converts into D-BHB, the ketone it naturally makes and uses for energy.

Same formula. Different shape. Different biology.

That little R makes all the difference. ⚡️ R you getting the right ketone?
