Late Valentines post! 💛

I’m still working on backgrounds so I’m not super excited how it came out, but I will always use an excuse to show their few sweet intimate moments, so I’m excited to share it with you guys. Especially since they actually have some angst in their AU lore that I haven’t covered yet 💀

While Katsura and Sasori are not terribly intimate, they have their moments. Physical contact is something they work on as they learn to trust each other and accept such intimate experiences. Katsura is the one who usually leads physical contact and Sasori’s acceptance of these intimate moments speaks volumes to one another. Additionally, there is a deep intimacy in their closeness and silence. Their presence offers comfort towards one another as they act as a pillar for one another.

Also, this scene shows one of the times they visit the leaf to go to the Hiromi family property. Hence why it doesn’t look like Suna lol

Hello everyone! :)

Little Katsura drawing where I wanted to try around with more pronounced lighting (not my strong suit, but still working on it). Not sure how I feel about it still. Also, I have been using different art apps and pens for all my posts, so I feel like things have been looking inconsistent, so I really need to focus on one lol.

Trying to write up all the AU lore and work on those posts, but have this in the meantime :D Katsura’s personality is often described as being a ‘stick in the mud’ as she is extremely serious and doesn’t take things lightly. This translates into many aspects of her life such as training and relationships. In training, she ensures to put her best foot forward and can’t accept the mediocre. When it comes to relationships, it is displayed through her undying loyalty to those few she has deemed important. However, it can make her seem distant as she has a difficult time showcasing this verbally, which she works on throughout her life. Much of this stems from her desire to pay respect to her late father, as she deeply wants to make him proud, especially following his passing.

Hello everyone! 💛 Long time no see!

I finally had some time on my hands to finish an old drawing! I would love to do more, but we’ll see how much free time my break has to offer. I hope to be posting more in the near future!

[Sasori and Katsura make quite the formidable pair during the third great ninja war. During this time, Sasori still receives his moniker “Sasori of the Red Sand” while Katsura garners the name “the Red Omen” as her presence on the battle field meant he was nearby. At the beginning of the war they were stationed separately, however after some major team deaths, they were placed together. Here they begin to sync their own techniques to create flawless missions. It is here in the AU where Sasori begins to use the forbidden technique of using human puppets, more out of necessity, but it brings him down a path of emotional conflict with his art as it aligns with his ideals. Katsura also introduces major emotional push back on the idea as she is forced to fight alongside hers teacher and teammate’s corpses. The two get into tense arguments about the matter. Sasori really opens up in a way that Katsura finds deeply disturbing and has to find ways to bring him back as they both deal with the traumas of war at the age of 16. Sasori withdraws as he becomes more obsessed with the new position he’s in, and Katsura learns to be more open with him in order to balance each other out, creating a deep unspoken and almost inexplicable bond between the two once the war is over. ]

Hello everyone, it’s been awhile! Since today is Katsura’s birthday I wanted to do something nice. :)

Within the Hiromi clan, the sun is deeply valued due to its connection to fire, so it was a big deal to the clan when Katsura was born during the summer solstice, indicating good luck and a prosperous future. While Katsura’s ties with the clan are not strong due to her distance from the hidden leaf, she still practices traditional celebrations and rites in order to feel a close connection to her father. So when it came to marriage, she wanted to follow another Hiromi tradition of being married at sunset. It took some time until they decided to get married as it was never on Sasori’s radar until Katsura admitted she always thought she would have one. (Also it wouldn’t hurt to get those tax breaks). The two aren’t keen on major events about themselves so the had a very small ceremony in the late summer of Suna.

Hello everyone! :)

Sasori and Takami share a complex relationship. Their two opposing personalities clash, creating a rather strained relationship at times. However, the two share more aspects in common than they realize/like to admit. Their similarities just present themselves differently, making it seem like they are worlds apart. However, Takami’s spitting image of his father is a constant reminder to the both of them that he is the sole continuation of Sasori’s legacy, which is hard pull for both of them to swallow.

I come to you with this idea I’ve had in my head for awhile. Unfortunately it’s not exactly what I had in mind (as video editing is not a skill I posses) but I really wanted to share with you guys! Takami and Sasori’s relationship is something I really like exploring and I hope this gives you guys a better insight. For more context their relationship is just basically the movie Lady Bird (iykyk).

Hello everyone! :)

Here’s an older edit I made a bit ago.

Takami’s relationship with fire is quite complicated. Due to hurdle of his asthma, it makes some aspects of the techno hard along with its required stamina. The first years of his training, he works to his limits to master the ninjutsu with the goal of completing the Hiromi clan rite. However, he can’t quite get the hang of it so he learns to combine fire with his puppetry. A part of him felt guilty, feeling as if he entirely quit on fire ninjutsu, so he works on it again at a later age. He eventually completes the rite once he is 21, not only to make his parents proud, but himself. (However, this considered quite old for their standards as most complete it around 12 to 15 years old).

I’m still working out all the kinks of Takami’s puppet design, but I have lots of ideas I’m pretty excited about. Until next time! 💕

Hello everyone! :)

Katsura was very exited to see which team she would be paired up with. Considering she worked hard to be in the top 75th percentile, she anticipated a pretty strong team. However, when the day came, everyone seemingly had been assigned a team except her. To her horror, she found out that her and Komushi had not been assigned yet. It wasn’t until after class the teacher informed the two that their third member was not a part of their class and was in fact Sasori (to Komushi’s delight). Katsura was not familiar with Sasori and was in shambles due to the news of being on Komushi’s team, as she had a very low opinion of him and his skills. (However this changes and the two become very close with time).

Also, here’s my interpretation of young Baki! During the academy, Katsura and Baki develop a close friendship, often training and partnering up together whenever. However, after their assignments, they drift apart. (Baki’s age is a bit ambiguous is the show, so I’m making a pretty big guess that he is around Sasori’s age group).

I hope you guys enjoy! Backgrounds are not my thing as you guys can probably tell lol. Things have been so crazy and busy here! I hope to draw more about Katsura’s background. Until next time! 💕

Hello everyone! 💕

I wanted to save this because I had ideas for putting it into something bigger, but I’m not sure when/if I’ll have the time. For so now, I’ll leave it here.

Takami feels a great burden trying to uphold the reputation and expectations of his parents, especially during his early teens. His constant desire is almost overwhelming, often pushing himself to his limits. Katsura tries to reassure him as much as possible, but Sasori’s lack of confirmation deeply cuts into Takami’s confidence while enhancing his anxious nature. The stress that he develops surrounding the matter is slightly built up from his own distorted perspective, believing everything he does is a failure in his parents’ view, when that is not entirely the case.

Katsura is proud of his kindness and loyalty while Sasori is proud of his determination and inventive mindset. However, they aren’t the best at exactly expressing this. :,)

Hello everyone! :)

Officially introducing Team Suna, consisting of Sasori, Komushi, and Katsura ⏳

In the beginning, the team is quite a mess, often running into disagreements and miscommunications. Komushi is often left behind as Katsura and Sasori go head to head with one another, with Katsura trying to catch up to Sasori’s skill set. As time goes on they learn more about the importance of staying as a unified group, with Komushi being lighthearted and often joking about how they treated him at the start.

Fun fact: Katsura is taller than both Sasori and Komushi when they first form as a team, but this changes around the age of 16 as both boys grow taller than her.
