the story gets better with every year. 32 chapters in ♥️#32ndbirthdaydump

• Kansas City girl at heart but New York adopts me often.
• My cake featuring some of the books that I have loved throughout my life.
• A reminder for you to support your local libraries and bookstores (but also a reminder for me to stop using my AMEX to buy books 😅)
• Amazing James Baldwin exhibit.
• I slang Baldwin propaganda, happily.
• Sweet chili oxtail pizza (that touched my soul).
• Getting a custom NY hat in NY is a whole experience.
• 32 feels easeful and I love that for me 🤎 taken in Brooklyn, New York by @telorizm

Some moments are worth every mile ✨ Spent the weekend in NYC to see my favorite artist @gyallikeclee, and it was nothing short of healing. We sang, prayed, danced, cried, and laughed—pure soul nourishment. Grateful for the music, the magic, and the moments. 💛 taken in Radio City Music Hall by @telorizm

When we lose our ability to care, we lose our humanity. Baldwin reminds us that the true battle is within—the struggle to keep our hearts alive in a world that tries so hard to numb them 🤲🏾🖤 #remaincaring #staystrong #jamesbaldwin by @telorizm

Coming back home to your sacred self is knowing that purpose has nothing to do with our job titles, our goals, or our professional aspirations.

It is knowing that existing within the fullness of ourselves is purposeful enough. Our goals, aspirations, milestones, and achievements are just the cherries on top ✨

When I leaned into this, I began achieving so many of my goals because I took the pressure off of it. We are special, divine beings, and ‘we do not need to achieve anything to be valid in our humanness’ 🤍 by @telorizm
